Still curious if I'd be better with the boss kit or 6112s with 700lb springs for the weight of my bumper. I like the fact that the 6112s are 2.5" body, but the boss kit is adjustable, 5/8 body

OK I'm looking online at 37s, and nearly all are D rated. Is it not as big a deal to get E rated tires with 37s or am I just not looking in the right places?

Your going to rub. On road is no issue, but taking hits offroad you'll notice some rubbing. I have +25 offset 17x8.5 wheel. I've ran both 37x12.5r17 and 37x13.5 r17 on that same wheel. I noticed more rubbing with the 13.5. I have the billet adjustable Icons to push the wheel as far forward as possible. I wouldn't say that it is anything major, only on full stuff on whoops. Still totally worth the upgrade to 37s IMO.

You guys are killin me with the 37s!

Seriously thinking of selling my 35 RT’s and going 37 k02’s. Any driveablity issues running these on stock gearing. Excessive down shifting, transmission hunting, maintaining highway speeds 70- 80mph etc.

Im a few years away from doing any gear changes and just want to get an idea of what Im in for. Thx!

You'll get some down shifting on moderate inclines on highways and yes even city streets but its usually 6th down to 5th. The 4.30 ratio handles it quite well. @Erichudgins and myself are the 2 in the TN bunch that are running 37's. I'm on BD Platinum and performance tune with harder shift points and I'm fine. Still pulling 12mpg HWY and that's on heavy ass Beadlocks....But you can still haul ass pretty good on em!

Check this out. This is a while ago driving home ( not safe but I'm a G )

Cruising at 70mph, actually about 75, under 2k RPM. Trans only heats up to about 190-195 degrees which is the bottom number on the BD Tuner. 7s FTW:cool:

How long have you been running 35’s did you regear and any issues with tranny or anything else due to running 35’s?

My bro (MGM) ran 35’s for 1.5 yrs. I ran 34’s for 1.25 years. We both have no issues. We are re-gearing with our 37’s as soon as 5.29 ships. I ran 37’s for 6 months no regear, few Cali trips at 80mph and no issues.

I had 34’s and ran about 23K miles. My bro ran 35’s for about 6k. Yes, we are still in 4.30. We are waiting for 5.29’s to ship.

Gosh this truck. I've had to look at this picture every day since I first saw it. It's so good. The color, the height, the tires, and the debadging is the icing on the cake, makes for a nice clean appearance. Jealous.

Honestly I drove around 200 miles daily for about 6 months with 37’s and the stock gears are fine. I would like to eventually however beyond actual long highway hauls I don’t need 6 gear anyways. That’s the only time I’d lik to be regraded, long hauls when speed limit is 80. Only time I notice the truck searching for gears. However overall very bearable.

Just met @Hattori at the shop to look at his 37 setup. I may be making the plunge.
