    Here's mine.

As much as I lust over a larger camper I've been places where a higher clearance vehicle just wouldn't have made it.

I have desert pin-striping on the roof of my cab and on top of my shell.

Great thread! I'm just waiting for a nice used topper to appear on Craigslist. No way I'm forking out almost $2K on a new one.

I really like that set-up! Can I ask what it is? Snug top rebel with windoors? What rack is that on top?

    Ummm. Stuff
I keep trying to find one used. I cant justify new to only use it 2-3 times a year. But every single damn one that I find used is for a double cab. The 2 times that I have found one for a crewmax they wanted around $200 less than new because they were going off of what they paid to have it installed to sell it used so they think it is $1000 under new. The waiting game continues....

Thanks, really happy with it. It’s the Snugtop Rebel with windoors on both sides. Rack is the Prinsu Toprac

It's not perfect - not the exact right color, a few other issues - but it was $300 off craigslist, and will tide me over until I find a used mid-/high-rise. (On that note, anyone selling a mid-/high-rise for a 1st gen access cab???)

The base roof rack is Frontrunner, with some ghetto-rigged 2x6s and various u-/eye-bolts for tiedowns on the main platform.

It's a crazy state. No snow down here in Phoenix, but a couple hours north (and 6000 feet higher elevation) it can be a whole different story.

Just recently got my shell back together after I painted it and resealed all the windows. I have 3 nights under my belt now and have to say, it's a LOT better than sleeping on the ground.

Found mine on CL after almost a year of daily looking.

Haha. I couldnt agree with this more. Any used ones in my area are for double cabs and in the rare chance one for a crewmax pops up, they want like $1800 for it. Meanwhile used caps all over for chevys/fords/dodge for like $500. I said f**k it and pulled the trigger on a new ARE CX today. Should be here in 3-4 weeks.

Just keep watching, and search all of CL.

Mine was listed under sporting goods because the guy had an RTT attached to it and he thought it should be with the camping equipment. He wanted to sell it as a package but said he'd separate if he could get a buyer for just the RTT. It eventually worked out.

Mine was also white and I was able to paint it myself for just under $150.

They're out there just waiting for you to find them. Patience and persistence is the key.

Definitely good advice to search all and not just certain categories. I'd also recommend to make sure to search for every known variation for what someone would call a shell/topper/canopy/cap, including misspellings for good measure. I ended up buying new but just missed out on a great used one because the guy decided to list it as a "campershell" (as one word) -- I'd been searching for every other iteration and hadn't thought someone would list it that way.

If that's Tin Cup, Colorado, my brother-in-laws dad had a cabin in the little town of Tin Cup back in the 70's and 80's. I've slept on the ground at over 13,000 feet in that area. Back in the early 70's elk hunting in the Tin Cup area, woke up with a heavy coat of frost on the sleeping bag and rifle. Wife and I lived in Aspen Park at 8'100 feet, I miss the hunting and fishing in Colorado but not the politics.

What's the total height above the cap with your rack? I just had my Rebel installed yesterday, and I park my Tundra in the garage and want to make sure it'll fit. Thanks!

Scored a pretty good deal off of CL. Came with a carpet kit for the bed. I wasn't sure about the black but it had grown on me.
