true - the ONLY reason that I haven't put sliders on is that my almost 77 year old mother needs to get in my truck so I have amp power step ups for now. In a few years, I'll swap out and raise it up another inch! So, for now, just light trails and FSRs for me :)

I've got Body Armor Rock Steps that are beefy as hell. I've decided to have a local fab guy that @speckmon used to convert my Body Armors to sliders. Lengthen them out a bit and then have them welded to the frame. Easy Peasy.

nice! I'm actually having a local fab guy make my back bumper with a ladder set up (so I can get my boards secured). he makes sliders as well so I might have him do everything.

RCI does make decent sliders and quite popular so far with the FJ crowd. I've got the full RCI skids. I was staring at my Body Armors the other day and realized why not just convert them to sliders. Heck each side weighs around 50 lbs of box welded steel not including the weight of the brackets. I've had the full weight of my truck on them a few times with no issues but need to do the smart thing and convert them. Should be easy to lengthen them and get them welded to the frame. Saving some serious $ too.

I know this is an old post. I just wanted to say that my N-Fabs saved my rocker in a parking lot with a large rock on a tight turn. It rode up and I thought the truck was f’d. Just scraped some powder coat and slightly bent a step. Jacked up the step to straighten it out.

I’d definitely get a front skid plate. I’m not hardcore in to off reading (yet) and even the shitbird TRD OR skid still is dinged up.

Not gonna chance it. Sliders are next for me.
