I understand 4 Wheel Online's point of view.

No way should they have to honor a price that was unintentionally posted in error, regardless of whose fault it is.

A cancelled order and refund are a great way to handle the situation.

I think because random things were shipped instead makes people a bit frustrated, thinking they now need to go to the nearest place they can ship the return.

From a business standpoint I'm sure there is a reason for that vs. cancelling, and if refunds are made, I don't think it matters. It was made right.

I don't know how many orders were placed, but I'm sure if it is a high number it's not easy to just snap your fingers and make everyone happy and completely informed.

Each member, myself included, only speak for themselves.

I assumed it was an error, but made the purchase anyway, just in case it was some type of liquidation.

What do they say? "If it's too good to be true, it usually is".

No harm, no foul.

Only a little more than 10x what we paid for the ones we didn’t get! What a bargain!

 

They look nice, but that’s a bit too much for me just wanting to level out my truck. $1399.99 for the leveling shocks.

 

And I go back to saving mode.... spending on other group buys..... etc...

 

Just checked my cc account and I received full refund for the shocks, order cancelled in Amazon, and the tracking for my mystery gift still shows that it’s on the way. Happy with the outcome, now I’ll buy my driver’s side handle.

 

I may just have to shove a 2x4 in my front springs now.

 

Wait, so the general manager of this shady ass company came here to try to convince us we’re being too harsh on them? Then gets caught because he was stupid enough to use his real name and then disappears?

Everyone who ordered from them really need to give them 1 star and write a really bad review.

We had to go out of state to find them and bring them back in the dark of night. Mine still has a sticker that says “ not a” about my rear Toyota emblem to throw other washitonians off the trail.

I just got notification that my “item” was delivered. It’s 1am here. UPS is working late. Lol.
I’ll be able to get it from the office in the morning.

 

And got my refund 45 seconds later.

I wish I could be brave like the rest of you and and talk to Amazon or 4wheel to actually get the shocks.
Oh well. I guess I can always work on my Jeep

 

The price had already been changed by the time I saw the thread initially. So I moved on and didn't pay much attention until I kept noticing how the thread kept growing. So, tonight I got curious why and, this has been one of the most entertaining threads I've read in a while. What a way to waste the last couple of hours!
If the company had just admitted the mistake and cancelled orders/refunded the money right away then all is well and good. Instead they had to let the money sit for a few days, then pretend to fulfill the order, only to start issuing refunds after getting called out on their crap? The funniest part of all of this is their shitbag GM joining the forum just to try and defend their decisions. Holy crap!

 

Well I haven’t received anything at all yet, and 4wheelonline won’t answer me messages. I contacted Amazon and even though my mystery package is still enroute, they already refunded me the full amount... now to wait and see what I get so I can leave some real feedback!! Lol

 

Refund came through at 3:45 AM, with no contact to either entities. Mystery item still shows shipped

 

Got a email overnight from Amazon showing a refund but still shows my package still in transit.

 

My junk was delivered yesterday. This morning I get a refund. Do we return the junk that was sent us?

This is what pissis me off, reason for return, “Customer Return” bull shit.

 

Got the same refund reason, didnt yet ask for one redunded me and mystery prize boxes coming today.

 

The outcome is still the same though.

If anything, everyone received a free gift for their troubles.

 

I also received a full refund, mystery gift on the way.

 

I almost ordered a set but decided to watch,
I guess I still came out good since I own stock in UPS. Not sure how big of jump it made on the bottom line.

 

Dude, the only problem is their lack of properly handling the situation. Instead of sending out a mass email saying “sorry, we screwed up and will be refunding your money” they semt out worthless junk which was OBVIOISLY not what we all ordered. It’s a shady business practice and smells of scam. Especially when they don’t return messages from customers.

 

1st order out for delivery. One mystery reveal later today.......

2nd order order left Albuquerque late last night.

 

I also received an email last night that I was getting refunded and the reason was customer return. Womp womp
