So I've been searching around on here, and from what I've read a rear leaf block is not a great idea. What I would like to know is what are my options to correct this?
my truck sits level has a 4.5 lift on it. And I am trying to fix / correct any suspension problems if I can. Tossing around the idea of getting new aftermarket upper control arms 2 correct angles for my new tires so they do not wear prematurely.
And I figured I might as well do the back if I can. Any input would be greatly appreciated I would also add, I don't necessarily want to lose much height but I don't know my options for keeping it where it's at and removing that block.

Custom spring pack for the lift. And I believe a shackle flip kit. Deaver has them iirc.

There's nothing wrong with a block. There are thousands in use, But if you really want to get rid of it then put on a whole new leaf pack. Keep in mind it won't ride the same, most likely a stiffer ride..

Thats good to hear, I swear I saw sticky or post saying to stay away from that. For what they cost for a lift leaf pack maybe I'll hold off and use that for spc UCAs or something that I know I need. Thanks

I have a 6" rcd kit and I'm also using lift blocks for now. It depends what your using your truck for. My truck is my daily and I use it for trail rides during hunting season. Looks like you do some towing so new leaf packs would help you.

I don't tow much of anything on the regular. She came like that from first guy. Believe that they raced dirt bikes, had a big ass KTM decal on tailgate. Thanks for the input.

If you call a spring builder, they can build a leaf pack catered to your interest. Just need to tell them what you want with ride, weight and towing along with what shocks and shackles. I have a custom progressive leaf pack and it's not stiff at all.

Deaver, Atlas, or Alcan can build custom packs but it depends what you want to spend. At 4" of lift, if that's the height you need, an add a leaf or 3 leaf pack are not options.

The block won't hurt if you drive easy, don't be hard on the gas or you will get axle wrap. Don't go nuts off road either. If you have competing priorities then the blocks can wait.

-6" RCD lift in front. -Custom leaf springs in rear 4" lift. -17" race line, raptor wheels. -35" Goodyear Duratrac. -4.88 gears. -ARB rear air locker. -ARB air compressor and tank. -Custom front sway bar quick disconnect -Custom one piece driveshaft -Black Oak Led 40 watt ditch lights.
I have a custom leaf pack with 4 inches of lift hand forged by Sacramento spring ( http://sacspring.com . It is a little stiffer ride but is way better then my old springs with a 4 inch block. I had axel wrap and was bottoming out with heavy loads. The new springs have 11.5 inches of travel in full flex. I am very happy with them vs the old setup. You could also do an add a leaf and a shackle flip kit.

New spring pack, or get traction bars to prevent axle wrap
