I'm going to replace the headlight housings, I haven't decided if I will put in retrofitted HIDs or just buy new housings to replace the old cloudy ones. I want new wheels, I'm thinking 18in TRD Pro wheels to replace the stock 20s it has now. What other visual mods look good on Silver tundras? As of right now it looks pretty bland I think, I'm thinking black fender flares will look good but the only ones I can find are $500.

Since they came on my Tundra when I bought it I don't know who makes them but at least you can see what matching fender flares look like.

20181225_122553.jpg Black wheels will definately contrast more and make Silver Sky pop more. I think your nerf bars will have to be painted/coated.

    Less chrome IMHO.

I like the look of color matched fender flares more than black, but I cannot find anywhere reputable that I could get color matched.

I think TRD wheels will make the biggest difference, I'm not set on TRD wheels but I think they are the best looking without going over the top. Did you black out the driver's (and passenger's) side door handle? Mine is currently chrome, and I think blacking out a lot of little pieces like mirrors and handles will add some nice contrast.

TRD wheels are nice, these are Gen3 TSS (Gulf States package 20" wheels). The door handles and mirrors were black when we got it, thinking it came that way.

Silver Sky is one color that needs some contrast IMHO.

I wish I could tell you more but, like I said, the previous owner added them. My headlights are just starting to get cloudy so I'll be doing something with them in the near future. Being a southern truck my wheels are in perfect shape so upgrading them seams like a shame but new wheels would help set it off.

Some Bronze method wheels for me; at least in my near future once my current tires wear out. Silver and Black go great together but want to try something different.

Hahaha! I'd never want to take care of a black truck, and I really like the silver. I just couldn't believe we were 13 posts in with no colour bashing. :boink:

Nuclear, nice looking truck BUT. You want it to look better? Get the black over lay badges, and the black solid tundra letters for the tailgate. I'm very careful about ad ons the black overlays look very good on my silver sky and the tailgate letters black of course look great. The truck should have came with black letters
I do have a nurf bar by my doors and thinking about tinting the side windows and last thing is getting black rims. Then I'm done. Black rims are tricky, cause the ones I like are the Fuel Beast but I don't think they make them for my truck. And I gave to be 100 percent sure on the ones I buy
And if and when you get the black overlay badges ,spend the extra money and get good ones . I got inexpensive ones and the tape did not hold and some of the badges. Super glue to the rescue .
I also put on a tornou cover ,that was a must and a rubber Matt for the bed.

Debadge the entire truck, remove the black between the windows, remove the rock guard along the bed, color match the handles and mirror caps

2” lift with Bilstein 5100’s, and Airbag suspension on rear axle, blacked out wheels, black painted nerf bars, Diamondback bedcover with ladder rack.

It depends on what your budget is, how much you want/can do yourself, or need someone else to help. Plasti-Dip is a very inexpensive way to black out wheels, and decals….

When I bought my '07 SR5 CM 5.7L 4x4, I went through the same process - how do personalize / differentiate / and customize my Tundra, make it "mine". Well, 16 years later, I'm still still "think'n" on it. Actually, the stone stock appearance has kind of grown on me - LOL (tonneau cover, window vent visors) I have also saved a boat load of dough, spent on other pleasurable pursuits. The truck is spotless, always garaged and I probably get as many positive comments on the stock appearance, as if I had tastefully customized it. Just another thought.

I’m the odd one… I like less vs more. I would actually take all emblems off and make mirror backs and handles color match. Then whatever you do with wheels or boards will actually stand out more. But this comes from a guy that still likes chrome.

Wow, all these silver truck pics and no color matched handles? I think that’s the single biggest improvement you can make.

    C89291AE-63F6-4ABC-AA81-23B06898D860.jpg

This is the old truck. Unfortunately, the new truck has keyless and color matching it is just too much work.

I've almost added the color matched handles so many times....somehow I always talk myself out of them at the last minute. They are still on my short list though.
