#3 makes the most sense. I use K&N. For years with no issues. I'd like to add the accelerator.

I have # 3 but with an aFe filter. Thinking of adding the SAMB someday.

I know lots of people use K+n, but I question how well they actually filter. Ive used them in the past and had silt on the tube past the filter. Maybe i did something wrong but so cal can be very very dusty. I live by the beach too where dust gets on everything

#3 is basically stock. Other than the filter and air flow accelerator which is a stock trd intake option from the factory.

I’ve had this issue too with k&n. On two different trucks. Plus the drop in filter I had in my tundra is brutal for sand. The oil cakes up with sand and your done for. A dry filter is handy for me.

I first used K&Ns on my dirt bike and CJ back in Oregon in the early 70's. Dune running at Winchester Bay and the bazillion logging roads near my home town. Never had any issues...... ever...The oil adds an additional "web" of filtration.

I'm staying completely stock this time. Last truck I had the K&N and could never get rid of that damn whistle. If I get another intake there's going to be a supercharger attached to it.

None! I tow a boat weekly
K&N pass dirt period. I had to remove the filter from my Can Am as my intake was covered in dirt. Also had one on my 07 Silverado and the mass air flow sensor was covered in dirt. The stock paper filter is best.

I have the S&B CAI, I like it, also have an extra filter as the one that gets cleaned and wait to air dry the other is ready to go, I oil to specs and no issues with MAF being dirty nor throttle body being dirty as well, no real gains in HP just added engine noise and end of tailpipe running FM Series 44 DI/DO

Took a 100 mile trip ....well worth the 15 bucks I spent for the SABM. Throttle response is better
