Isn’t there a simpler way to check the transmission fluid level in my 2014 tundra automatic other than using a jumper wire and all that jazz? Cant it just be at running temperature as it is in the hondas?

I'll try to be a little diplomatic about the answer to this question.
    1. One to hundreds of threads about this using the search bar.
    2. This is no part that can be added to the fill hole, drain hole or any other hole :deadhorse:that can be used as a dip:crapstorm:stick.
    3. I drain exactly 4 quarts at 60F out of the pan.
    4. I use approximately 3.5 gal to flush.
    5. To check the level at around 100 to 115 I have used the engine running with the plastic tip completely inserted to use the vacuum of the trans to plug the hole. I later check it when I have more time and have found it to he appropriately very close.
    6. I have had both a scan gauge and currently a ultraguage.
    7. All info I suggested is at your own risk as it sounds your are not really interested in properly understanding the process.

Simplest way, give cash to someone who knows how to do it and wait for the results

If the fill plug is out during idling, will fluid spill out? (pertaining to item 5)
    Thanks,

This will be after atf top off and reinstall of the 18mm internal/24mm socket size plug fill. I overfill it and once it starts to just drip through the plastic drain I plug the over fill. I can't recall the mm size right now.

Didn't answer your question . No the atf will not come out the fill plug...18mm,o-ring, 24mm socket sized fill plug. From a correct level I have added 4 quarts and not even close to the bottom of the fill port.

    Thanks,
No agitation of fluid in that area I assume.
