I'm looking for lighting ideas that might fit behind the grille. Anyone?

    Thanks in advance!

Do you have a write up on the Raptor LEDs? Curious what you used, how you mounted and wired them.

I put two 8" and one 11" Led light bar in the three slots in the lower valence. I just checked my phone and I only have pics of the install process, not of the final product but would be happy to take a picture later today if you'd like to see it. I really miss my 32" light bar that I had in my Tacoma lower valence..... with that thing it was always daytime when I was driving.

That looks great! Unfortunately I don't think those have the same effect on the 2nd Gens. It looks much better on the 3rds in my humble opinion.

    Thanks!

How else do you expect to put lights behind it? Just say sim sim salabim and voila...magically goes through space occupied but the bumper cover and installs itself?

Oh. I'm terribly sorry. My apologies.
Let me rephrase. Yes. Yes you have to remove the bumper cover to install a light bar behind the bumper cover.

For the Raptor amber lights, by looking at the photos, it looks like it doesn't connect to the hood bulge at all, right? I'm asking so that I can do the lights now, and when I change over to the TRD Pro grill, it shouldn't change anything with those lights. Huh? Thanks for the input.

    I got them on Amazon:
    https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00L0R5ZQQ/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o02_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

    https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00K8K104W/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o02_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

I did get some condensation in one of them, so I took them all apart and re-sealed the ends with some silicone. I then tightened the bolts along the front, and after a few days the lenses cracked. I will order more, and re-seal the ends and leave the fronts bolts alone. Dammit, I just gave an example of living up to my name!

To mount them, I cut some pieces of angle iron to length, painted them, attached lights, and slid them into position. From above, I marked where the mounting holes were. Removed bumper, drilled some holes, attached angle iron. Bumper went back on, lights slid in, attached lights to brackets. Wired them up to a relay so that they are on with high beams.
