I really don't want a spray-in bed liner but would like to protect the bed of my truck. I already have a Toyota rubber bed mat but it does not offer any protection for the wheel wells or bed sides. I think the BedRug BRY07SBK would work for me. There is a youtube video that shows the installation on a truck without the cargo side rails.Do I need to remove these for the BedRug to fit properly? Any opinions? Thanks.

You don't have to remove the rails but if you use the rails you will need to take a awl and form holes where the bed rails will go thru the Rug.

This is correct. I just had a BedRug installed along with an ARE tonneau. The BedRug comes with velcro tape to secure the edges, but to use that you have to trim along the top to secure the BedRug below the rails with the velcro. Since I don't foresee any need to ever remove the BedRug, they removed the rails and reinstalled them over the top edge of the BedRug. Of course, I can still remove the BedRug, it now just involves removing the rails first.

With that tonneau and the BedRug, it's like one huge trunk. Certainly not suitable for everyone's purpose, but it suits mine just fine. :)

How does the Bedrug work if you need to haul topsoil or gravel? Will it rinse out clean with a hose?

Yes, you can just vacuum or hose it right out. I had a full bed rug in my Tacoma. I really enjoyed it. It worked for me because I don’t beat my bed with heavy rocks etc all the time. But, I slept back there with my dog many times.
Now I have LineX and just put the Bed Rug on the floor.

Yes. Check out BedRug's website for some great info. I've hauled rocks, bricks, fire wood, chainsaws, fencing material, you name it. Easy to clean with a hose and can be vacuumed too. Very tough and versatile product.

Looks like it was trimmed around the bedrail in the front,is this the case for the side rails as well?

Love mine. You can use with bedrails - either mount them through it or trim the top of the bedrug to just under the rails. I trimmed mine.

Yes, front was trimmed and Velcro hold tight around the bedrail. The sides the rails go on over the bed rug.
