This is a two parter about the same switch. Does the up/down button on the steering wheel go from one radio preset to the next radio preset? Or does it just "scan" up to the next frequency?
When using Apple Car Play for music on your iPhone, does that same button jump to the next track?

Thanks in advance, and yes I have researched this. :)

You can program it what ever you want it to if I’m not mistaken

You program it to what you want to do on the mmr unit. I programmed left/right to skip forward and back. Up and down changes the Kenwood "widgets" on the home screen.

Ok thanks guys appreciate the responses. Dan, you have a 3rd Gen and mine is 2nd, so you have more switches available to you than I do. I'm trying to avoid spending big dollars, only to find out it doesn't do what I want.
Any 2nd Gen guys out there?

Still doesn’t change the fact that you can program each button to do what you want. The only button you’re missing is up and down with 2nd gen tundra.

Each button can have 2 functions too. So track seek can seek to different songs when you press it. Seek up and hold the button can be another function like mute or pause.

Here’s an example card the web site prints out for you after programming is done

Also, don’t buy this for DIY if you don’t have a PC. Does not work with a Mac or linux/Unix. Only works in internet explore. Will not work in chrome or Firefox.
