Thanks! Make me want to ditch my wheel spacers and just get wider tires.

Yeah it was pretty sketch at times. These semi drivers are insane. Several passed me hauling ass. This was 97 from Redmond to Weed.

I wanted to see if I liked the look before I used a more permanent option like VHT. So I guess it did its job, because I did like how it looked... however I expected it to last like a year, not a week. I have a can of VHT, and that will be my next project. Did you do the whole wet sand process, or did you just spray it?

A little of this and a little of that.

So I have done a couple of things since I bought it last week. I put the stubby antenna on, tinted it 15%, put in the tailgate inserts, and got the bed line-x’d. I also got a DE surf tag for it, just haven’t put it on yet.

Wow what a difference. I installed the resonator too, which I also had on my 6" system. This 8" is much more tame when driving at normal throttle. I'd say very close to stock, it's been a while since I was stock but it's much quieter cruising compared to the 6". When I got on the gas the growl is still there, but also a deeper tone, which I like A LOT!
Overall as of right now I prefer the 8 and am glad I made the swap. Time will tell.

And yes I did roll down the back glass and open it up, even though its 22° outside. Was well worth it

Had the front windows tinted. Still getting used to it. Seems a little blurry in places but I’m hoping it will cure cleanly. Very reputable, high-end shop around here.

It was $700 from Best Buy with free install. Could’ve gotten it cheaper somewhere online and done it myself but with the fam I’d rather spend my time with them when the install was ‘free’

Yeah but they included that stuff with the install. Another nice benefit of them just handling the install.

I love it! So glad to hear that mean. I originally ordered the 6”, but switched to 8” before he started production because I heard the same thing that you were talking about. People talking about deeper groan.

For some guys the 6 will be perfect, maybe even not loud enough. But for me it was just too much. I'm actually very surprised by the difference in noise level and the tone between the 6 and the 8.
I hope I can sell my 6 now, bad timing with the group buy lol

My wife and I take a lot of adventures to Colorado, Utah and lately Wyoming for skiing and mountain biking. I “restored” my 20-year-old Yakima box and decided to paint it to match my Inferno ‘16. Had custom made YAKIMA decals created. I installed Yakima locking ski racks underneath it and bike fork mounts in the open area on the passenger side. Our ski boots and duffle bags go in the Yakima box, our skis go underneath and bikes to the right. All of them are lockable. Back seat is wide open for our dog this way. Ha. We also use it on top of our 100-Series Land Cruiser occasionally.
