Received my amp today, guess it's time to start shopping for a head unit. Trying to decide if I really need wireless apple play...

I also got through half of the door speaker install before the rain moved in, should be able to finish up this weekend...

 

Anybody wired this amp with the group buy speakers yet? Is it mostly plug and play , except for the wire that runs to the battery ?

 

Yeah. do i have to run new wires to all the speakers?

 

No, you don't to the doors or dash, unless your adding speakers that you didn't already have

 

Thanks dude. I really want to pull the trigger. I don’t have the upgraded sub yet. Want to get the amp going first. Would like to have a 12” sub when everything’s done. My current one is blown or something. Sounds like it is queefing all the time.

 

well...audio was further down on the list until all these deals keep showing up. Ordered amp. Received dash and door speakers. At this point may as well order sub and do it all at once.

 

I is disappointing as to how bad the JBL is. Especially after hearing some decent sound coming out with a under powered head unit on James's new speaker set up. Doin the amp is going to make it even better. At this point my factory sub would be better unplugged.

 

Just pulled the trigger...Added a 12" JBL sub and box. cant wait to get it here.

Yeah I was considering that. I wish it was on eBay as PayPal credit currently has 0 interest for 24 payments on $600+.

 

I’m assuming the instructions are the same for the JBL Stadium 5 amp? I noticed the write up is for the 4505...

You're right. I wonder if its cause he only had so many without having to order more. I know there werent nearly as many people who did the amp...

He let me know before my order the other day that he was down to very few amps left. Perhaps only had a limited batch at that pricing he could get.

 

I guess this is my punishment for waiting until last minute. Maybe at some point we can get the JL Audio 5 channel on group buy.

 

It just means I don't have to justify another $300 spent on my truck to my wife.

Same here just did the grab rail and rear sway bar yesterday and ordered the speakers today. I can wait until the next group buy for the amp or one similar.
