Which ones are you guys running? Assuming they are all pretty close to looks and function but are any of them deemed the best?

Good thread! Been looking into some low profile in channel visors!!

Hate the ones that stick out. Just looks off but love the functionality!

I've got some low pro inchannel EGRs. Had them on for now about 2 weeks. So far so good. No weird noises or shakes. I think they look good from the outside as well.

AVS low profile gets my vote. Have had previous issues with the weathertech in channel visors.

I installed the Weathertech and my tow mirrows at the same time and have a lot more wind noise than before, not sure which one is causing it. the Weathertech shades rattle a bit when i close the door. not sure if all shades are the same . I still like the stick on shades but they look stupid on our trucks..

Mine is stick-on AVS visors. I went this route on the recommendation of my local tint shop. If I were to do it over again, I would probably go with stick-on type again. I've read a few reports of in-channel visors causing problems (Windows not closing all the way, window motors giving up due to stress). Reports of stick-on type causing problems? None.

My personal experience with stick-ons on two trucks: at some point part of the adhesive tape released and I wound up with rattles. Easy enough to replace the failed sections of tape, but just a nuisance.
I hope this thread gets a few more comments on both styles before I choose a type for this truck. :)

That would be annoying. Do you remember the brand? Mine has been on my truck for about 6 years and went through a lot of abuse. When my truck has ice all over during winter seasons, I tap on the visors (fairly hard) to break up the ice on them. No sign of anything coming off yet.

Go with in channel I don't think weathertech makes a stick on anyways. But the stick on one's look bad whistle and fall off. Only thing you'll get is If your windows are cracked open they rattle a little when you close the door

I've had weathertech in channel on my 04 taco for 6 years, and not one problem or concern. I hate the look of stick on. My 15 DC has weathertech and I love them too.

I had some stick ons on my 99 Tacoma and they came loose after a few years. Can't remember what brand they were but if I put any on my tundra they will be in channel.

Both sets I had that came loose were Lund/AVS "original" VentVisor. Picked them up in the auto department of Fleet Farm here. The tape releasing wasn't a deal breaker, but there must be a better alternative.

This is an important step. Left my windows up for just over 24 hours to help with the seating. It's only been two weeks since, but there's been no resistance when rolling up the windows.

My only hesitation in buying WeatherTech would be my own experience of how lousy two sets of WeatherTech floor mats fit compared to my Husky mats. I know that's apples to oranges and beat to death in other threads...
    :deadhorse:
I just don't want another unsatisfactory fit if there are better options. I haven't seen any negatives about the WeatherTech visors though.

Go with AVS. They've been doing this longer than anyone else. Way longer. They always fit properly whether in channel or attached externally (which I prefer) .

The AVS In-Channel is probably what Ill go with. They are a bit cheaper than weathertech and at $69 I wont be too upset if I have to learn the hard way on this one.

Will take your advice on keeping window up, also heard that I should roll them up and down 5-10 times when I first put em on is that right?
