Anyone running 17" rims on your 2.5 gen?

4wd with Bilstein 6112 at 1.9” setting. On method 313 17x8.5 with 25 offset

What are your guys experiences with running 35s over 33s? I see 35s weigh quite a bit more. Have to assume this affects performance in some way. But man they look mean!

 

I don’t mind mine them at all. I know for my 08’ the gas peddle is so touchy it’s easier to drive with the 35s. The mileage isn’t really an issue for me cause let’s be honest I have 35s haha

Guys got a question for all of you. I just ordered the Icon Rebounds in 17' for my truck and the guy called me to tell me that 17's would not fit on my truck. I told that there are many newer tundras with 17's on there. I told him it will barely clear the brake caliber but it will clear. Then he told me I need to buy them in 18's which they do not make Rebounds in 18's so after that comment I knew the guy did not know his shit.

Am I wrong here? I have not read of having to get smaller rotors to fit the 17's on the newer TRD Tundra's.

 

Maybe @Icon_Adrian you can answer my last post and tell me why 4Wheelparts in Riverside is telling their customer that Six Speeds and Rebounds in 17's do not fit new Tundra's. Telling me to get an 18 when they do not come in 18's

I only bought them from there since they had a really good deal however they are NOT touching my truck. Thinking Demello or Yotamaster will be doing the lift if they have time for me.

 

Tell him to call icon. Other wise you’ll get a shop that’s smart enough to do their home work instead of just saying oh it won’t fit. They’re in the “aftermarket” business and with that there’s a lot of constant trial and error or “homework”. Ive worked in the auto industry for 12 years, Toyota for 10. There’s shops that are good and shops that aren’t, as far as getting shit done with out communicating whatever things they have to figure out with you. We sublet a lot of work and it’s real obvious. I swear some shops don’t want basically free money, cuz we give them so much work, when a couple phone calls to verify from manufacturers or as simple as trying the wheel on for clearance will answer their questions.

They fit. Plenty of people running Icon Six Speeds and Rebounds. I see you’re in Riverside, Who did you order from? If it doesn’t work out for you visit the Wheel Shop in Riverside. They are literally located 1/4 mile from Icon.

They will fit. Disclaimer I don't have. But I've done plenty of research.

 

That's is what I was thinking of doing if they did not want to install. Seen too many people with these rims to not be able to work.

Might need to cancel my order and give Wheel Shop a call. Did not think of them. I am located right by them and Icon. Thanks!
