F6BE86A7-9441-4556-B916-74E073D81847.jpg I can’t believe anyone would put those caliper covers on $50,000 plus vehicles.....I found a local fellow that has been painting calipers the right way for 22 years. He includes a 3 stage painting process- Primer, Base Coat (which is the color), and Clear Coat. I have included an example of his work:

He is coming to my home $360 and we’re done . I wouldn’t let my wife “pay” for a Kardashian booty so you know I wouldn’t disgrace my mistress with caliper covers! I’m going with these black high temp TRD emblems as well. B8E4213D-BADD-4CCC-AB12-4868EAE1ECE1.jpg

+1, I've been using the G2 kits on my last few vehicles. I've stuck with gloss silver for the brakes and a spray can of black caliper paint for the rotor hats. Nothing fancy but it does help keep things looking factory fresh IMG_5966.jpg

Mine are red, came that way from the dealer. I've never looked at them close enough to tell if the calipers themselves are painted or if it's a red cover. I'm guessing it's a cover? I like the little bit of color contrast, although I'm not wild about red, personally. But, it matches other accents on the truck. I'd love to one day convert every speck of red on my truck to orange.

Believe someone else did this kit, (looks great too) and it's a different shade than one up above, from Dupli-color

I painted mine the other day with POR's Caliper Paint. Brushed it on after a good scrubbing. I'm pleased with the outcome. When it's time for brakes, the Power Stop Kit I'll probably buy, will come with Red Calipers. I just wanted to be sure I'll like 'em.

I had great results with the G2 caliper paint on my stock breaks. I removed them and applied several coats, never had any chipping in 2 years of having them on. A while back I upgraded to the TRD big brake kit that I picked up in used condition. A couple weeks ago I decided to rebuild them and have them powdercoated. I had a shop in my area do the powder coating and was about $100. They added a clear coat to help with brake dust. I decided to keep the TRD red even though my truck, lift, and other parts are blue. I installed new seals, boots, etc and just finished getting them installed. I’m going to repaint the silver bridge bolts black and add a black TRD decal.
