So decided to improve a little the stock radio sound, got this DSP from Sony cheap and harness adapter to keep everything stock, unplugged factory amp and plug in DSP, which is a little more cleaner power. Definitely much better sound and with factory speakers. maybe I’ll change them later and add a sub in tha back, DSP has everything ready to plug in.

Link? Did you leave your factory amp in place? Just unplug the stock amp and plug in the sony?

Yeah the plug and play part of my question was redundant. I just wanted a little more clarification.

Naw. I meant I'm interested in the information you want. But I may also have been referring to the fact that we have seen many similar threads, one post and done.

The one and done posts are killing me. Post a question, someone comes in and gives a great answer or has a few questions about the question... no one ever comes back. Sometimes it makes me not want to answer someone’s question if it’s their first post. No offense to the OP. Hopefully he comes back instead of hit it and quit it. Lol

Looking at the pics posted, it's not plug and play. He made a harness to plug into the stock amp harness under the seat.

I sent him a private message asking about the harness and this was his response. I also encouraged him to pop back by and meet the group.

Amp is unplugged, just plug in harness adapter to Sony then Sony to door speakers, check diagrams for reference, also check polarity with multimeter on signals from head unit.
    Harness bought them here
    https://autoharnesshouse.com/41112.html
Play with settings on DSP for sound preference using little remote. That’s it ! At least a little more power the before with less distortion on full volume
    .

Unit cost me $15 used,on fleebay, harness was around that don’t remember exactly ,I bought them last year so finally had time to do it. I have this system on my Passat B6 from years a go, with sub and dynaudio tweeters and really day and night difference ($150new)https://www.ecoustics.com/products/sony-xdp-pk1000-xdp-mu110-digital-link/ so that’s why I decided to do it on my work truck

Yes they are old(2006+), but they do at least something to stock sound. Definitely with new speakers might sound much better. Remember it only amps the doors speakers and is not tweeters on them(SR5).

Question? On my stock amp for some reason the rear speakers have less power than the fronts, I have to go almost all way down to rear to have them sound at same level ( sound options) is only me or they come like that?

Well, I made the leap. Ordered the DSP and harness. All in for $60. Hopefully it'll improve the sound as the OP, said.
