Camaro... Even a guy who lifted his truck says you have to "pay to play"
Was trying to help you maintain a factory ride.
Guess I was casting pearls before swine.
    I'll be getting over myself.
    Good luck.

Another consideration beyond cost is that usually design engineers aren't in charge. There are other groups involved in the decision making process. Marketing and industrial design usually get a strong vote on things related to looks. Also lifted trucks aren't the norm and won't sell as many units. Perceived liability and warranty returns are also considerations. While I don't design cars, I am an engineer for a consumer products company. There are a lot of factors.

There is likely room in their design. I'm sure there is safety factor to many of the key components. You will trade off some reliability for increased height and larger tires but how much is anyone's guess. Driving style and maintenance are also play a part.

Thanks for all the valuable comments. I called a shop Where I usually got my whips modified. He quoted me 6 inch lift with 35’s tires 4600 out of door including everything alignment, tires, labor and lift kit. Or just a 6 inch lift for 2500 out of door. Plus he offers me 60,000 miles warranty. And for level kit he quoted 760 out of door. So after investing and considering budget I decided to go with level kit. I will do it within next 1-2 months. Lifted trucks looks badass too but it’s out of my budget. Until then I am doing other cheap mods like replacing all interior lights with led white sylvania 168 light bulbs for $40 lol plus license plate bulb

How are you going to level it? Coilovers or spacers? $4600 isn’t bad depending on what lift, tires, and wheels you were going to get. You could level with coilovers like Fox, Icon or Toytec Boss kit for half that price installed. And maybe throw on some nice wheels and tires down the road sometime. If you do shop around for something like I encourage you to message Wheelers off-road. They are a vendor on this site. They gave me a great deal on the Icon stage 1 lift and Light Racing upper control arms! coming in this Friday:D sometimes you can get better deals than your local 4x4 shop. They could mark up prices also without you knowing it.

I already have 20x10 Motometal wheels with 0 offset and 275/55/20 Toyo open country tires. I might keep them same or may be sell them for some stock Tundra guy and buy 33 inch wheels.

Where are you located? I'd be interested in the wheels. Probably a million miles away. Lol

Hmm, I could make that work if you decide to get rid of your wheels. I've got BBS 20's now, but I'm wanting to go with less offset like yours.

You sound like you have the intentions to lift your truck later on .If so I say just do spacers thats the way I went right away with my truck then saved for 2 yrs yes lol 2 yrs I have 2 kids so I'm on a tight budget when it comes to my truck but then I lifted it 6" I will say the front is a little rough riding but I'm now going to lifted struts not spacers that will help alot . Not only that I do have the "cheepest" lift on the market. Lol rough country but have had no issues with it at all. Been lifted for 2 yrs now.

@easleycrawler it just rub little when you full turn back up on speed. But most of the part they are pretty good with stock set ups. The shop I used ..Butler tires and wheels in Alpharetta Ga. They know pretty well what they are doing. I got these tires and wheels from them. And that’s why I am driving 8.5hrs to get done my leveling from them.:)
