Regular one. Kazuma LSD doesn't like synthetic fluids.

Can we revisit the LSD discussion once again? What are the two mechanical brands that our trucks have and how do we find out which we have/what fluid to use?

2002 4x4 Tundra SR5 with true LSD (Kazuma by Eaton) use:

Lucas Heavy Duty for LS 80-90w (dino) in the rear diff (trust me on this)

Mobil1 75-90w Synthetic for LS works fine in the transfer case and front diff

Let us know when you find out. My grease gun does all 6 zerks on the rear prop, but doesn’t fit the two on the front 4x4 prop.

Just to muddy the water. I used Royal Purple 75W90 full synthetic all the way around without issue. I also have the LSD in my 02. I got the idea from the old Tundra forum. Many others reported using the same thing.

The rear diff on ours is spec’d at straight 90w, but its not available anywhere.

The stealer uses 75w-90. If it works then thats good!

Is the tip on your gun adjustable? The one on my Lincoln can be twisted to make a tighter fit.

Yes. Its adjustable. The problem is the tip is too big, or the angle of attack wrong, on the front two zerks.

It also looks like those u-joints are different on the front prop (though they are Koyo like the rears). Its like its a whole different animal and I justify by waiting in greasing them due to not much use on the 4x4.

I’d be nice to know exactly what tip to buy as I’d buy it fast. Just don’t feel like experimenting on this.

Alignment is done. The alignment tech noticed my ABS light was on and saw the sensor on the passenger side wasn't bolted down all the way. Problem solved.

Might find the time today to put my skidplate back on, but I now have a better-than-ever driveable truck again.

I had dinner with some friends last night. A guy joined that I had never met before and it turns out he is an engineer for Denso. Specifically, his plant makes alternators and starters. I made a comment about Denso making good products and he didn't waste any time telling me that Denso's quality isn't nearly as good as people perceive it to be. He really didn't have anything positive to say.

This didn't instill confidence as I'm about to order a replacement Denso radiator....

Nice! Can you notice the difference with your new wheel bearings? Were they making noise before?

Let me go look at my radiator and snap a pic because you asked about that a few weeks ago. Its been about 4 years since install and my mechanics said this was a good one and half price of Denso? Foggy memory.

Night and day. Even the wife noticed "hey that grinding sound is gone".

The truck still seems to be "figuring itself out" since all I have done is cruise around town slowly. I need to get some freeway miles on it and get the SG2 calibrated now.

I haven't seen any pre fabricated plates but I have seen a few guys box sections of the back half. They made cardboard templates and cut to fit.

    You have one?

They have the splitter for the OBD which would allow you to plug in both?

Sorry, no I don’t but I really like it. I wasn’t aware there was a splitter. I may have to look into this more.
