I finance through the dealer to get a better deal (they usually make a little more profit if you do this). Then I refinance or pay it off in cash afterward. So in my case 39k Out the door means exactly that...that's the number I financed. The total purchase price. You can usually always find better lending rates outside of the dealer and can always refinance as a new vehicle later on... every lender will have criteria for what qualifies a vehicle as "new" and despite what you might think, often times that criteria is pretty loose!

I got mine for 40k before ttl last may. 2018 crewmax limited with the premium pack and trd. It is only 2x4 though. MSRP was like $47. My trade covered ttl.

I did all the haggling online. I had 19 dealers within an hour radius. Initially emailed all 19 asking for their best price on a limited. 8 didn't respond at all. 5 didn't have a limited but quoted something else. 3 quoted a limited for about 2-3k off MSRP and wouldn't budge. 3 came in around 5k under. Used those three against each other for a few rounds and ended up at 40k. From initial inquiry to picking up the truck was about 24 hours.

Picked up 2018 limited cm 4x4, not trd and no sensors last year. Included tint, clear bra, running boards, toyota tie downs, tailgate power lock, painted fender flares and maybe something else but cant recall for around 41.5k then ttl for 44.5k out the door. Purchased 10yr/125k plat warranty last month for a few thousand as piece of mind for cam towers and tss system. Not blockbuster deal but fair considering choices in my area at the time. I have seen a few guys on here offered leftover 4x4 cm platinums for 44k, so good deals exist.

How common is this cam tower leak on the 5.7s? And when does it usually occur?

It’s been a while now, but when I bought my first tundra back in 2013 I got a limited double cab for $35k. We got it heavily marked down since it was the year end clearance. I just happened to like the color they had in stock so we negotiated a while until they closed the dealer and got a awesome truck.

In August when I was shopping around different toyota dealers I would open the driver door and look at the Mfg. Date stickers. Some of the trucks had been sitting for well over 6 months--the one I bought was built Nov 2017 and I purchased in Aug 2018...do the math there:eek:. The dealers are exceptionally motivated to move those units. So that's another thing to look for on the Tundras because they are slow sellers generally and in Sept the new model year tundra will be ready to ship. The dealer has to earn their allocation by moving the prior model year back stock. So as mentioned previously by others, timing can be huge!

Stopped by Team Toyota in Glen Mills, PA yesterday. Got priced on a 2019 tundra limited off road cement crewmax with a premium package for $44,219 without taxes and that junk, original price was $47,503. How do you guys think that is?

I think you could take that quote to another dealer and tell them if they can beat it by 2 grand you'll sign and drive right there and then. If
If toyota approves for a 0% rate the dealers probably aren't making much in the way of profit on that deal. I'd let them finance me at 3 or 4% then refinance later once the dealer gets their financing kickback.

I just got this 2019 xp and "TRD'd" it up. With the Rockstar package and black outs you can save some $20190217_103908.jpg

Deals are out there, just need to find two dealers and see who wants your business more. I bought my 18 crewmax limited 2 Jan 19 for 39.8 otd. I still had to pay taxes, but it came with the TRD package, tri-fold tonneau cover, tube steps, center tray organizer and chrome inserts.

That was a great deal! What was your cost before TTL so folks can compare apples to apples across different states.

I paid the $39.8k before TTL. Took advantage of the -$3500 off Toyota was offering, -$750 to finiance with Toyota,-$500 military/graduate discount and some negotiating. The truck I was originally buying came with remote start and a linex bed,but it sold when the dealer was going to get it. So they swapped it out for one with the TRD package/ tonneau/side steps/chrome tail gate inserts and coin organizer thing. I would have rather had the remote start and linex bed, but I’m still happy with the deal I got. Both salesmen I worked with at the two different dealers where good to work with and I got my trade in value on my ford.

It's so interesting. So even though I don't plan on purchasing anytime soon, my saleslady who sold us our '19 Sienna in December emailed me to tell me that anytime I am ready she'll try to fit me in a new Tundra. She mentioned she will give me the "friends and family discount." Does anyone know how much of a discount this really is?

    Best advice here:cheers:

1-2 years later you’ll be wishing you had spent that extra grand or so and bought exactly what you want. So don’t be that guy. Just get what you want now to eliminate future what-ifs and regrets.

I agree. I didn’t do that and two months after buying a new truck I was trading it in

Dont just settle trust me you wont be happy at the end of day and you will be another victim to buyers remorse. Save and play the waiting game if you can. The prices are gonna drop especially with the next year tundy coming out in august.

Ya don't have to wait till the end of the year, just the end of the month when their numbers are due. If they're low, you win.
