    Hello All,

I return to the Toyota Life, begging forgiveness for having strayed.
Traded my 2010 RAV4 v6 Limited AWD for a 2016 GMC z71 SLT because i need a fullsize truck, and was suckered by the cool tech and 20+ mpgs.....BIG MISTAKE.
GMC spent 8 weeks at dealer over 2 years and 45k miles for warranty work...junk.
Traded it (quite the $$ loss) on a 2014 Tundra Platnium with 20000 more miles...and bought a Honda beater for daily driving. Just like i should have done in the first place.

Never owned a GM product, and wanted to see what all the hype was about (still dont know)...???

Hoping my Tundra treats me as well as my 2001 v6 4x4 Tacoma did!

Welcome back. I traded my 13 tundra for a 15 GMC SLT for the same reason and learned just like you, they suck. Electrical issues and number of recalls. Glad to back in Tundra.

Came from a 14’ Sierra all terrain. And a 17’ Colorado ZR2. Gm will never see a penny of my money ever again. Bought a used 15’ TRD crew max and loving it. Tundra is simple and runs like a truck should run. No more cylinder deactivation bs. Love my tundra. Only had it for 6 weeks. Just can tell this will
be my truck for a long time. Stoked about having a Toyota truck. Never saw this coming. But pleased I did. Welcome from central Indiana.

Your story is very similar to mine. I bought 2 GM trucks in a row. Just traded off a 2014 GMC slt 4x4 for this certified 2015 limited CM 4x4. I got tired of the GM issues from using oil, transmission, electrical, rusted frame and dash rattles and the 2014 starting to use oil..Jeez! These GM's were almost as bad as the Chrysler products I owned.

I flat black plasti-dipped all the chrome on the GMC except the grill...but pulled it off before sale.
I may just do the same to the mirrors and emblems on the fenders with thus one.

traded a 2006 tundra for 2014 GMC in 2014, 4 years later after 30 recalls, 2 quarts of oil every 3000 miles, dash board rattle, and the A/C compressor replaced (1200 bucks) at 37000 miles. I traded it for a 2018 4x4 Tundra Limited April 2018. No problems so far . I'll never own another GMC unless someone gives me one, then it will be up for sale the day they give it to me.
