5100 level, what rear lift?

OEM shocks with the CM +3? I didn't want to chance it. I purchased new Bilsteins. I will sell my OEM Bilstein TRD Sport rears shortly.

 

What shim size did you use to get total 3 inch lift with the bilstien set at the top setting?

 

I'm on the middle setting up front right now with my 5100 leveling shocks. I will be setting them to the top setting this weekend and adding Boss 4X4 shims .25" that will lift .5" each, will arrive tomorrow, https://www.boss4x4s.com/boss_4x4s_elevated_suspension_shims_07_and_toyota_tundra two on the driver's side and one on the passenger's side. 5100s for the rear just arrived today and will be going on this weekend along with the rear shackle at 1.5". Hope this helps.

 

Would love to see some pics as soon as you get done. I am still debating on the middle setting up front with 2 shims (around 2.5" total) and 1.5" in the rear or 1" in the rear. I am really trying to keep the front just l9w enough not to need new UCA's if at all possible.

 

Does that put the rear around 40" or 41"? Surprised you got a whole 2"! Just noticed your dimensions may be a bit different than mine since I have the stock fender flares on my TSS. Rear passenger side is 38.5" stock on mine and front passenger is 36.5" stock.

Raised Bilstein 5100s to top setting, added two @BOSS4x4s shims to the driver's side and one to the passenger's side. Also installed the @BOSS4x4s rear shackles on the top setting and installed Bilstein 5100s in the rear. Here are before and after pictures...

Thank you! I did the work myself and now I need a beer!!! I had the drive shaft shudder off the line and coming to a stop (not as bad), I installed 3/4" cylindrical spacers to drop the carrier to see if this would help get rid of it. I will test it tomorrow when I go in for alignment.

 

Since I am going with the middle setting up front with 2 shims on each side, you think going with the top setting on the shackle is going to leave too much rake?

 

It might be..I have two shims on the DF and one on the PF set at the top setting. The shackles are set at the top setting as well. It's up to you.

I did the shackles first while the front was still set in the middle setting without shims and it was a lot of rake.

 

Does anyone have any experience with the Toytec AAL? Looking to run Bilstein 5100's all around with the front on highest setting but would like to keep some rake for trailering and PCS sensors

 

Ended up dropping mine down to the 1" setting on the Toyotec shackles with middle setting and 2 shims each side up front on the 5100's. The 1.5" setting would have been o.k. for towing but the 1" looks more level. I installed Firestone air bags with daystar cradles so I won't squat any while towing. I also ended up with 285/70r18 Nitto Ridge Grappler's and SCS SR8's.
