gen1 2wd to 4wd conversion

hello I'm new here. I have an 02 tundra ac 2wd. Has anyone successfully completed the conversion? looking for info thanks in advance. I bought a wrecked 02 ac 4x4. just started pulling things apart. which wires and computers do I need to swap over?

 

I'd like to see this!

 

This has been done a few times. Search on ttora forums as well, the older taco’s are very similar and a few people documented swaps there too

 

Is the juice worth the squeeze my man? Why not sell and buy a similar condition 4 x 4 and save yourself all the heart ache?

 

Some people enjoy these types of challenges and projects.

 

Sometimes I consider doing this just to make my MPGs fair to everybody else.

Shit man I know those feels. Both my tacos were prerunners. Thankfully they had the e locker.

That's not that bad honestly. ECU and wire harness is probably the hardest part.
