2019 Tundra Factory Bedliner Recall

Toyota Motor Engineering & Manufacturing is recalling certain 280 model year 2019 Toyota Tundra standard and long bed trucks equipped with a spray-in bed liner.

The load carrying capacity modification label may have been incorrectly calculated. If the label is followed, the vehicle may be overloaded, increase the risk of a crash.

 

Of all things this recall could be, an incorrectly labeled sticker sounds pleasant. I thought the bedliner was cancerous or something and would have to be scraped off.

 

When i bought my truck. It had a warning sticker on the door frame that reads “attention: modification has been made to this truck that reduces GVWR by 4 lbs”

 

SMH, lawyers.

 

A couple of pounds of liner material? That’s pretty funny. Do they just take a sharpie and cross out the old number and fill in the new one?
