I thought about duratracs too, they have a solid reputation. I go to the mountains every weekend during snowboarding season, just December through March. Normally I drive the Element up there but would be nice to take the truck sometimes, it's way more comfortable.

Day 6: Injectors still performing beautifully as reported over the past week so no need to reiterate.

    NEW! MPG is up 2mpg.

Old was 9-12 mpg towing or not (city). This has been so forever.

Today with one fill up is 14 mpg (city).

Three things could be attributed to the increase.

    1) Clean fuel Injectors.
    2) 12 holes make better atomization thus better efficiency.
    3) New gear pattern due to new injectors efficiency.

Is it possible just a set of brand new spec’d OEM 4 hole fuel injectors could produce the same result? Probably.

Only way to find out is to do this over again and that ain’t happenin’!!!

This concludes any more reporting on the subject unless something new happens or anyone has questions on the matter.

Quick response back. Sending a whole new set. Says consult your local mechanic and use silicone on new install?

Well I was waiting to buy sliders, but the local TW members that builds em got called into a new job and can't pencil me in any more.
So... I think I may make an offer in this bad boy and make it my DD.

I been looking for a 5 speed 4 banger midsize car and saw this and fell in love .Isn't exactly the economy DD I was after but... It's got low miles and I've always wanted a T100. Plus is too old to be emissions tested in Texas. So I could sc and long tube it XD

Just finished changing the oil outside in the rain. Took out 6 quarts which seems low, poured in 6.5 quarts and it's barely hitting the dipstick. I'll look at it again in the daylight to be sure. Old oil was pretty dark considering it was only on there maybe 2k miles. Goodbye Newcastle and hello Hefeweizen.

That super clear Mobil1 makes it diffucult to see the line.

    6.5 quarts is proper.

Yeah I realized later that I must've confused it with a Tacoma I was also looking at. I'm going to go check it out tonight.

@because_v8 call me crazy but that interior pic looks like its auto. I see the info says its a manual. o_O

I've always liked the T100. Not sure if anybody here has heard the story, but when the T100 was in production and Toyota built the Tundra concept, the concept name was T150. Ford caught wind and sued Toyota for similarity of names with the F150. The court denied the claim since Toyota had not actually produced the truck as that name.

Toyota then countered with a lawsuit over the Lincoln LS, because it was similar to the Lexus LS name. Toyota won that suit.

    Not crazy....unless I somehow missed that the T100 manuals were column shift...and I don't think I did...:)

Makes sense... You ever see a first gen rc or ac parked next to an f150? I can't believe Ford lost... :D

Speaking of 5spds, I've had this crazy idea brewing in my twisted mind of getting ahold of a v6 5spd 4x4 and a v8 4x4, getting them drunk, and hopefully mate and produce a 5spd v8 4x4. Just an idea. For now.

Yeah, I don't get what's up with that on craigslist. I'll do a search for manual only and 90% of them are still automatics! :annoyed:

Yeah, that's been something I've noticed since I started looking at the Tundra. If you're trying to get into the 1/2 ton market in America, can't blame Toyota.

I like the way you think. It seems those 5spd Tundras are rare though, or maybe that's just up here. Shouldn't it be the same R150F used in Tacos?

Did they not offer the V8 in a manual? I've often wondered how many 1st gens shipped with manual transmissions. I'd say less than 10%..?
