Extreme sounds is James. You are good to go to open anything from Extreme Sounds. Sounds like your speakers were shipped and should be arriving soon.

 

Mine speakers should be here tomorrow and I hope to install at least the dash speakers on Friday. Not sure when I will get to the doors. Any tips for the dash speakers? I'll double check James post on how to do it. I can't wait to get this done.

 

Thanks for the info. This is way past my ability so I will see how much a local shop will charge to do an install before making this purchase.

Buy connectors if you are not going to solder. You can see pic in my thread. Also be careful with the clip I pointed out. I shared most of his tips in my thread

What kind of connectors? Female spade and butt? Also what did you mean by rip the plug off the speaker and plug it to a connector? I have a bunch of wire connectors, I hope enough, I can always run out and grab more if needed.

 

Yes female spade.

That was in reference to rear door tweeters. You have to have jumpers on the stock plug for aftermarket tweeters to work. I found that the plug on the back of stock tweeter (pics in my thread) will work. You rip it off stock tweeter and plug into stock tweeter harness. It will forever more just dangle there. The aftermarket tweeter ties into mid wires so it never needs those stock tweeter wires.

Oh I gotcha. So instead of cutting and making a jumper. You can leave the plug as is and it jumps the wires for you? I'll PM you my email, that will be very very helpful. Thanks bro

Front yes. Rear somewhat, you have to tap into the wires for tweeter. Go to my build thread and you can see pics

For the front doors you just wired the mid range to old mid range wires and new tweeter to old tweeter wires? You used the new inline tweeter crossover too right?
So for front doors the new mid range and tweeter are not wired together? But for the rear they are? Sorry for all the questions lol. I'm a dummy when it comes to this stuff.

Its still freezing cold here I'm CT and I have multiple layers of sound deadening on my door panels, which will be a pain in the ass. I'm not sure when I'll have the time to tackle the doors. hopefully sooner than later though.

God bless this sounds incredible. I've only got doors done and Dear Baby Jesus. All the speakers with sub and amp is going to be phenomenal. I feel bad for anyone who misses out on this.
