***UPDATE***Tech12volts door and/or dash speaker group buy.-valid through 2/28/19

for those that have the jbl system . Center speaker wiring procedure . remove factory speaker . cut the wires directly at the factory speaker. green is positive other is negative . there is a plug that allows you to completely remove the speaker . connect crossovers to tweeters . thin wires go to twitter . connect both thicker red wires on other end of crossovers to the green wire . connect both black to other wire . i think its black also . On the 3.5 in the dash the capacitor that came with them needs to go inline with the positive . Only 1 factory hole will line up on the 3.5 we use those little silver screws to make a hole in the factory plastic for the other screw.
For doors
pop out the factory tweeter. use the mounting ring that comes with the new tweeters and push the tweeter in from the rear with bracket still mounted on the door . same thing on rear but the rear tweeters has 4 wires . you will need to jump the 2 wires together to complete the circuit when you remove the rear tweeters
.Beige and red go together
Gray and white go together
if you read the speaker section of the pdf attached it has a picture of tweeter and ring and plug for rear

 

always the one closest to the release pin is positive on Toyota

 

I guess I’m in! Amp too! What is different for the install for pre 2014 Tundras. Are the door speakers not plug and play?

 

If you can match up positives and negatives then you're good to go!

 

when purchasing for 2nd gen make sure you put the year . if its JBL and need the dsr1 the install is pretty much the same

 

Not bad. The dash speakers suck balls. A pillar middle clip is a dick and snapped

 

SOB!!!! I have the mount the wrong way. Hole is to the front in this pic and I did NOT wire my tweeter to the harness. I wired the two tweeter wires to the existing two tweeter wires from factory tweeter

 

I lied. It freaking sucks.

 

Haha! No sweat, it's an easy fix. Just remember to test it all out before you button it back up

 

It works and works just fine. That's the problem. I hooked it all up and played music and tweeter had highs and the mid had mid. I hate doing re-work

Yes. It's difficult to get good leverage with the panel tools and mine snapped. All the others were quite easy.

 

Is this GB speaker all plug and play? Don’t want to spend time thinking to figuring which wire goes to which.

 

The Mids are. The rest no.

It's super easy though. You can't get any closer to a plug and play system than this. If you can tie your shoes than you can hook this set up. Hardest part is taking everything apart to get to the speaker's...... and even that's not really difficult

 

Yea I have no problem removing panel.. just wanna see more info before pulling the trigger..

 

Verified with James you CAN connect to tweeter wires that I did on FRONT doors ONLY.

guys it seems the infinity speakers do not come with terminals . Which i was not aware of . But you will need 2 female space terminals for each 3.5 in the dash and a couple of but connectors for the capacitor. or you can solder them on . i would unplug the harness from the truck and solder them outside of the truck for sure as hot solder has a tendency to roll off and burn something
Sorry had I realized this sooner I would have sent them . We have some many connectors laying around we take that for granted.

 

Ended up adding the dash speakers too. Figured would be better to just get them all done at once and it’s a great deal.
