My truck is just awesome in snow and ice.
I live in maybe the snowiest city in Upstate NY where we a average over 10' of snow per year.
I've driven many 4x4 trucks of different makes through my years living and driving around here and I know a well handling truck in the snow when I drive one.
I am totally satisfied with the trucks ability to crawl out of ice and snow even in two wheel drive!
I don't know if it's a third generation thing, weight transference, tires or what (running stock tires) but it's great.
I don't think I hear enough of how our trucks behave in horrible snowy conditions.
    Good job Toyota Tundra.

I know what you speak of! I was driving around the other day when the snow was deep here too.

Post this on Yahoo and you'll bring out the "But it doesn't come with a true locker" crowd.

Goes to show you it doesn't need one.

Same here, I hardly ever need 4wd in the snow. I use the 4wd at the drag strip more than I do on the street. 4wd lo turns the tundra into a tank! Loving toyota's since 1985!

Bought my 2015 SR5 TRD 4WD in August 2018. I have commented more than once how well just the 2WD handles on these snowy Michigan roads now even into Feb 2019. Better than both GMC Sierras I have owned.
Pulled a car out of the ditch last November after a big snow in 4WD and it didn't even feel as if anything were behind me! Love this Tundra.

Very happy with how mine handles the snowy mountain roads around here. Feels like a tank!

Agreed! My Tundra has been the best truck I have ever driven in the snow. 4wd makes it pretty much unstoppable and I’m still on stock tires as well.

Been very impressed with how mine handles the snow as well, even in 2WD.

Was very impressed with mine when living in Memphis. Being a snow virgin (as far as driving in it) I had no problems in 2wd. Granted, it wasn’t near 10’, but still....walk before you can run!

Havent had a chance yet in my Tundra, but my Tacoma handled snow like a champ. And flood water.

Had only great experiences this last winter myself. Not a single slip that I could feel even on snowy/icy steep hills and driving around Mt Hood ski areas.
