New to the tundra. No legit complaints so far. Except for one item. The head unit is hard to see on a sunny day or snowy afternoon for me. Looked at settings. Done all I can think of. Am I missing something here or is it just how it is? Disappointed with it. Guess a aftermarket head unit is a option down the road.
Impossible to see at times going down the road. Only real complaint about the truck honestly. Nit pickin I guess.
    But that’s how I feel about it.Thanks

A little of this and a little of that.

I assume you've adjusted the brightness up all the way, yes?

Yes sir. Can look again. But pretty sure it’s set at the optimum level for maximum vision.

Will look into that. Thanks for the info. So I’m doing something wrong then.

With day mode, does it still dim when you turn your headlights on? It's assuming it's night since you turned the lights on and gets dimmer, if it's raining or something I turn my lights on during the day and makes it hard to see the screen sometimes.

Gonna check out what improvedRon said in the morning. Haven’t spent much time with the truck since purchase. But dont recall a day mode feature. So he might be on to something.

First post: Day Mode is GONE! The "Brightness/Contrast" screen where Day Mode could be checked has apparently had a system upgrade and now the Day Mode is gone and a pretty picture of the Encore console (which doesn't do anything) has been added instead. WTF? The console now dims to near black when headlights are on and can't be over ridden. Any ideas how to revert to original 2017 factory specs??

Welcome. What's yr/model is your ride?

If it really is not on your ride, I'd say your options will be a new head unit or perhaps asking your local dealership.

2017 Tundra. Several of the display features have changed since the last time I went into settings (daylight saving). The power has been uninterrupted and it hasn't been to the shop, which makes me wonder if Toyo or Entune didn't do an over the air system update??

Last time it was "normal" was when I set it to daylight savings. Today the clock was back to standard time and the clock setting screen is reconfigured along with the brightness and contrast screen with no day mode option when headlights are on.
