Been wanting to go for the past couple of years but the stars haven't aligned unfortunately. Maybe next year.

This will be my first time to attend as well. I'll be meeting up with friends from Phoenix AZ in Indio CA and head out from there. I always go-to the Baja races… nearly every year to the San Felipe 250 and the 500. I have raced them all several times as well . This should be fun .

Went to San Felipe about 30 years ago with family and had an absolute blast. I'm sure it looks very different now, but we slept on the beach and one of the family members brought their sand rail. Got really drunk one of the nights at some bar, bought a bunch of massive rockets and proceeded to shoot them off into the GoC at 2-3 am. The Mexican police (or whoever they were) came and nearly arrested me. Then I passed out in a hammock. Would love to head down there again. Might skip doing one or two of those other things next time tho.

Been to San Felipe twice. Back in 75 and 76. Quiet town then. Great food , outstanding world class fishing, cheap.....Know doubt not the same....

I follow KoH every year. Love the highlights as well.

Addicted Offroad has a pretty sick rock buggy they have been running lately. Toyota nutz as well.

    FB_IMG_1549155952522.jpg

And unless it's gone through a rebuild recently I believe the engine is a Lexus V8.

1UZ-FE from a Lexus. Turbo. It's gone through a few rebuilds and refits in the last few years but I'm sure it's still Yota based.

I had Addicted Offroad bumpers front and rear on my 3rd gen 4runner. Outstanding build quality and real wheelers.

It's been quite a few years since I've been out there. The crowds are outrageous now. Used to be able to get really close to the action.

This is the only way to do the Hammers if not competing. If not, bring an enclosed trailer with good locks on all the doors...just FYI.

Same at most big events like Easter Jeep safari in Moab. Never been, never will.

I'm surprised security isn't tighter at these things. With all the technological capabilities we have now a mobile security cam system should be a relatively easy and low-cost implementation.

I'm sure people do their own personal cams and what not. From a security enforcement standpoint, it would be hard to police and know who is supposed to be where with 50K+ spectators.

When we go to Moab, a ranch is rented outside of the town. It's pretty secluded, and that helps.

The last year in Moab for me was 2012. I actually caught someone following me around. A couple years before we had some Colorado wobble pops stollen, about 3 cases.
