Thank you! It is about 4 inches right now. It’ll probably be around 3 when everything settles out. The Falken’s are beefy!!

That looks awesome! Bet a gloss black hood indent decal would really tie it together.

    Too many…scratch that…not done yet.
You can run them higher if you're constantly carrying/ loaded.
For normal riding/ comfort, 5-10 psi is all you need.

IMO though, they're not the best for pulling/hauling heavy loads. If anything, I would go with a load-equalizing hitch.

For adding height and ride comfort tho, you can't beat 'em!

What is added to these off road packages? Im considering getting a SR5 off road or a Limited off road. They are close in price but i like the leather.

The off road package adds two skid plates, bilstein "off road" shocks, and 18" wheels. I think that's it on the Tundras. Wish it included a locker but might not be enough demand for that.

TRD Off Road on the SR5 adds different wheels and tires, upgraded shocks, skid plates, LED headlights, TRD floor mats and bedside stickers. Typically it would also require the SR5 Upgrade package be added, which adds the 38gal fuel tank, front console vs. bench seat and some other small things related to that.

On the Limited the TRD Off Road will only add what is not already part of the Limited package, for instance most of the SR5 Upgrade items are already part of the Limited, and the Limited already has alloy wheels, so there is no cost to upgrade to the TRD wheels. (Limited is 20" wheels and TRD Off Road is 18" wheels)

*** Update, do not do this MOD. this product is garbage and it peels and cracks right off.

Rust-oleum peel coat lens tint. I didn’t want to use VHT because it’s permenant and I was concerned I would screw it up. So I gave this a try. It turned out ok, they have a weird milky haze to them. I will keep them as is for a little while and see how they hold up. The instructions say no more than 4 coats, but that did absolutely nothing. I ended up using about 1.25 cans. You will need to buy the clear coat as well because it was super dull without it. I couldn’t get a good picture installed, because it is dark out.

Looks good. I used some rustoleum peel coat on some parts, gloss black solid stuff, not the tint. I wasnt impressed compared to plastidip. I wonder is plastidip makes a tint, I'd try that with maybe some glossifier over it.

Yea, overall I think the rustoleum peel coat is miles behind plastidip. Plastidip is so easy to use, very forgiving, and super durable. Unfortunately plasti dip does not make a tint product. I’ve seen people use the plastidip “smoke” with clear coat but I think it looked like garbage.

Speaking of plastidip, not that this has anything at all to do with the current topic... When I sprayed my shift surround pieces I didn't have a big enough piece of cardboard and had overspray on the concrete in front of the garage. That stuff is still there after a Wisconsin fall and half winter with plenty of soap run-off from washing cars and dirt bikes. I don't have a good pressure washer to spray it off, but for it being advertised as being easily removable I'm honestly surprised at it's durability.

Picked up a new shift knob today (actually two, one will be up for sale soon), popped in the illuminated ignition module, and finally got my rear sway bar installed.

Nope. Used a breaker bar to loosen the two bolts on the hitch mount. Took a minute to break it free, made me feel like I probably need to spend a little time in a gym. Air tool would probably have been easier, but it's not necessary.
It really is an easy install, if you have the necessary tools. I didn't, so it took me about 2 hours, including a trip to Wally World.

While at the PA Sportsman show last week, I ordered something to put this sticker on. Pretty decent deals during the show and better then I could get online at the moment.

Got this in on Monday, but finally got it working right and tuned today
    A6552251-3883-4355-988A-D807C8ACE114.jpg

Wireless CarPlay is pretty badass, and the sound is a huge improvement over the stock HU. Pro tip: don't forget to hook up the freaking amp turn on lead... I tied the lead from the new unit into my front camera and forgot to include the stock amp... Let's just say the dash speakers and rear tweeters sound like shit on their own.

The head unit itself was pretty easy. Crutchfield gave me most of the wiring harness I needed, except for the adapters to retain the factory satellite radio and GPS antennas, but I was able to order those on Amazon Prime and get them the same day the HU arrived. The hardest parts were routing the cables for the handsfree mic (replaced the stock one in the overhead light unit) and the front camera (the RCA cable end is slightly larger than the tube that goes through the grommet on the firewall). One other thing that'll piss you off if you aren't paying attention, the plug for the mic likes to pop out pretty easily, so make sure that's attached and working BEFORE you put all the trim pieces back on...

Here's how the wiring harness ends up looking, to give you an idea of how fun it is to try to shove in the dash:

sorry man, traded them for the gloss black. If your going to paint, check with the shop though as they may prefer a smooth starting surface vs. the textured (and having to sand them).
