Ok, the last bolt on the protection pan underneath my 05 Toyota tundra is stripped out inside. I have tried turning it and turning it. Nothing, I can't get a grinder in to take the head off because it's inside of the protection pan. I've even tried to put pressure under the bolt but nothing. I'm almost ready to get a cutting torch after it. Hahaha .Any help? There isn't a nut on the other side. Just the bolt.

Have you tried pulling down on the skid plate while turning the bolt?

If pulling down doesn't help, jam a pry bar between them and really give it pressure

Yes. The skid plate. I have to change my starter and I can't get to it because of the skid plate.

I've tried to put pressure while I've turned it and it didn't help any.

Put a socket on a drill so you can back it out while using your strength on prying the pan down like they said.

Try an easy out, l’ve removed several broken bolts using that method, also apply heat to it to get it to loose up a bit.

Pull the blade from a hacksaw, it's thin enough to get between the frame and sheet metal. Use a socket to hold the bolt steady while you saw. Might take a buddy also. 5 minutes tops.

Drill an 1/8" pilot hole in the center of the head, then go up to 1/4" then to 11/32". Its a 6mm bolt so the 11/32" will take the head right off. You can worry about getting the rest of the bolt out after your starter is fixed.

So the good news is if you have the v8 you can leave that bolt alone. You're going to be disappointed because your starter isn't behind there. If you have the V6 the pry bar is probably your best bet to get the bolt out.

This is the method right here, foolproof unless the bolt is hardened (and it might be since it is a thread forming bolt).
