New in the room! Not new on Earth or with a Tundra. Mine is 2011 and just took it in for an oil change at the dealer yesterday. When I bought it in 2012, one of the niceties was that it came with lifetime oil changes.

So while I was there at the dealership waiting, one of the guys asked if I wanted to test drive the 2019 Tundra. I accepted and we dashed off. It was pretty much the same as my 2011, but it felt far more plush on the bumps. Not sure if that is enough plush to lure me to a new one. He said if I traded mine in, and bought this one, the difference would be about $19K. Not too bad, but just was not in the market.

AND, I told him that I never buy another vehicle if they do not fix a major problem with the one I already have. MY ISSUE is that the gas pedal peters out at the worst times...like when you are taking a fast left turn between groups of traffic, or if you are trying to pass someone and you have to lurch around them quickly. WTF is that about??

I have probably been at least 4 or 5 times nearly wiped off the map as I learned the hard way that this thing has the throttle of death...more like Russian Roulette. Never know when it is going to peter out, but it does it. I have to warn everyone before the drive it.

SOOOO, is there any solution? I told a guy in a parking lot once awhile back...he told me a name of some device, and I forgot where I put the info. Dang...he said it was THE fix.

Just curious if anyone knows what the solution for this issue is.

    Thanks,

    Keith

Never experienced that before. Not sure, but are you thinking of the "Pedal Commander" by chance?

Not sure...does this sound like it would deliver 100% response? I have never had an electronic gas pedal until this Tundra. I have always had a wire and it has always done exactly what my foot told it to do. Not so with this thing. I tried some reset thing awhile back, but did not make any difference. It still does this at the scariest times. I just keep a mental note and have to do things differently. But would like to solve it just the same. Pedal Commander, maybe that was it. Just cannot remember. Is it sold on this forum? And Thanks!!!!

Not getting much in our corner of PA. @Ganmercy is from the upper-left corner of the state. They’re getting it up there.

I don't have one, but have heard many positive reviews. I don't believe anyone on here sells them, but you can go to their website or Amazon also carries them. It's supposed to change the throttle input and sensitivity to eliminate any lag or delayed response.
