    Hello All,

I have been lurking here for many moons but have officially become a member just now. Pulled the trigger on the Limited Crewmax yesterday. Love the roomy interior so far but still getting used to its sheer size. It is not much longer than my former Taco DCLB TRD Sport Prerunner but much bigger.

Got a great trade in value for my '12 Taco. Bought it 4 years ago for $25k, with 68k miles on the clock plus couple dings and they gave me $21.5k. Factor in the sales tax saving on the new purchase I only lost about $2300 for the last 4 year.

Welcome from TN! Gotta love toyotas resale!!

Word to the wise, it's easier backing into a spot than it is driving into it just because most parking lots are hell to back out of!!

I did same except I had a brain f&$) and bought a f150 ecoboost......kept it a few months and bought a tundra. My taco was bad ass though 2006 TRD off-road six speed manual....damn I miss that truck. But I love my tundra too but still wish I had my taco still. Oh yea bought my taco new in 2005 for 25 k and sold it with 160,000 miles on it for 13k in 2015

Haha man Im in the same boat as you. I loved my tacoma like no other, had it for 10 years... put ALOT of work into her (Mostly performance: URD S/C, smaller pulley, bigger injectors, full catless exhaust, tranny VB upgrade etc. etc. etc. etc. lol) and man did she move! I loved that truck so much! I eventually put it back to stock and parted out the mods... but Damn! you got a great deal for your tacoma! Mine had 140,000mi, 2006, DBLCab TRD OR, immaculate interior and exterior might i add lol. Traded her in for $12k when I bought my Tundra. I definitely do not regret the decision but damn i miss that truck so much sometimes lol. But just knowing i can finally get a boat and or trailer, makes me forget for a while

OP - My goodness sir! Toyota practically paid you to drive their truck! haha welcome man and you are going to surely enjoy that Tundra... for a long time might i add! Welcome to the family :burnrubber:

Almost bought that color, leather interior, but opted for the SR5 double cab with cloth. I get very dirty at work and was afraid to ruin the leather. Anyway, nice truck. Enjoy

Nice truck man! I did the same thing, came from a 2008 TRD OR DCSB taco. Then I traded that Tundra for a GMC Sierra - fucking mistake. Now back in a tundra, and couldnt be happier. You'll get used to the size.. and power.

It was probably the biggest pile of shit I've ever owned, and I owned a Pontiac Sunfire in high school...

It had 3.08 rear end - absolutely not nut
We think toyota put a lot of nannies in the Tundra? GM had so many nannies in that truck, it was almost undriveable. Torque management and active fuel management were the biggest jokes anyone could fall for.
The auto-locking rear axle was also a joke
the 5.3l engine is no longer a competitor in any truck market (except maybe when compared to 4 cylinders) especially with your choice of a 3.08 or 3.42 rear end (3.73 if you pay out the ass and order the truck specially).
The worst part of it, it shook on the interstate @ 70+. it is a huge problem with those trucks, and the dealerships/gm cant fix it. not wheels and tires, not driveshaft, not rign gear, not differentials.

the trucks are just huge piles of shit.

I also made out well when I traded my Tacoma, 05' DCSB, 6spd TRD Sport. I wish I could have kept her. I love the Tundra though.
Welcome to Tundras, I like your new rig!

I don't have any pictures but I also went from a Tacoma to a Tundra. It is going to take a while to get used to the size difference but I'm liking it. I checked the mileage on the tundra and got 18 mpg. Can't complain about that. I too wish I could have kept my Tacoma along with the Tundra but it just wasn't in the cards.
