I have a Tacoma but have been looking at Tundras for a long time now.
Maybe this site can convince me to pull the trigger and get a Tundra ;)

I am looking at the Crewmax. Either V8 would work, but would prefer the 5.7 (why not go big!).

5.7 is the way to go. The 4.6 is a dog compared to the 5.7. and the estimated MPG's are marginal IMO...plus, is you are going (let's say) 75mph in the 5.7, you'll be at less RPM's opposed to the 4.6 where you'll have to maintain higher RPM's to keep the same speed.
The 5.7 seems to have less issues than the 4.6 as well.

Good luck and keep us posted

Welcome to the forum. Definitely go with 5.7. Actually 4.6 is pretty powerful engine, but 5.7 will blow your socks off.

There's no second guessing once you step into one, traded in a 2014 tacoma for the space, comfort and ride.

Welcome from Pa. Go with the 5.7 Tundra. As long as you don't mind the fuel mileage, you won't regret it.

I also came from TW and had a DC Taco. I picked up a 14' CM Tundra 5.7 and as much as I used to love my Taco, I can't see myself going back to one. I really love the comfort, space, and power.
My opinion, do it! You won't regret it!
