I replaced my chrome front bumper caps with plastic color matched caps and now I have this warning when parking assist is turned on. I started the truck and turned the wheel to make install easier while the sensors were unplugged. Would that cause this issue? I figured once hooked back up the warning would go away but no such luck

Had a similar issue when one was disconnected due to a harness issue. I had to keep the system off until I replaced the rear harness. Double check the connections if you removed them. I have had these in and out replacing the bumper cover after the the replacement harness and no issues after this. I doubt the wheel direction is an issue. They are directional forward to where they point.

As an aside, Mine have gone nuts with a little icing on them.

I'm worried I may have damaged the front right harness because some if the weight of the bumper was on it once I got the bolts out but it visually looks ok.

How did you determine it was the harness and which one?

It was obvious at the wiring at the connector and as well to the BSm connector.
If it was working before replacing the cover. I would go with the simplest solution-that you Did not damage the harness and then retrace the steps with each connection. They can be a pain to connect and if one is off the whole system does not work.
The dealership had told me that I had two bad sensors and offered to replace them both and recalibrate. I had a couple of bad Housing’s. I came home and connected everything up and it worked flawlessly. I also had ordered two clone sensors at 30$ each Vs the $250 dealer cost. Still have them as spares.
