Are EBC Yellow Stuff pads the way to go? Thinking Stop Tech Slotted rotors and having them frozen and using EBC yellow pads.

TC long travel. Deaver 420 SU leaf packs.
That's my exact setup. Stopping distance was seriously increased after going to 37s. With the Stop Tech and yellows it seems better to me than stock. They're dusty AF and hard on rotors but it's worth it to me to be able to stop quickly. They also don't last long, I just bought another set after only about 12-15k mi.

I just changed from power stop to ebc orange and there was a difference in stopping and pedal feel. Ebc bedding process is different from any other pads I’ve used so read up on that if you go to ebc. That way you’ll get better performance and life.

I think you can order the stop tech already frozen. Check autoanything.

Autoanything gives the cryo option on a couple of stop tech models. Looks like it adds about $26. $167 total.

    Edit
Looked again and it’s only on the rear left. I wonder if they are just out of stock. Might want to call if you think that’s a good price.

Hell yea - Autoanything offers a cryo option- 30 bucks! Sweet. Im guessing I should replace all pads -frnt/rear? Was planning replacing front rotors only. Do you all recommend upgrading the brake lines ? How about fluid?

If it was me, I’d replace all at the same time. Your rears might not need replacing as bad, but you know you will have to eventually and can get it all done at once. I wouldn’t change brake lines unless you have a lift and need longer ones. You could strip something or get dirt/rust in the line. Even in SoCal I’d bet yours have some rust on them.

I’d flush the lines too. It’s only the cost of 2-3 bottles of fluid. Takes about 25 or so pumps for the rears and 10-15 for the fronts. I used motul 5.1, but there is a thread about Bosch 5.1 that makes it sound better.

I believe longevity is the benefit.
