Back in 2014 I took delivery of my new Platinum Tundra. The same week I had XPEL.com paint protection installed on the all of the painted areas you see in the below photo taken this morning after a detail wash. As mentioned in other posts over the years this paint protection when installed professionally is really awesome paint protection in my experience.
So other than a hot soapy hand wash and leaf blower drying the end results are still amazing.
No nicks, no dings, no scratches, no road rash, no pock marks no errors .
I give this XPEL.com protection a full 110% thumbs up.
The only detailing product I have used on the areas covered in paint protection is Plexus. A $16.00 13 oz can lasts me over a year and a half. A quick easy fast spray and wipe with a micro fiber towel..done.
If you plan on keeping your Tundra for a long time, consider XPEL.com, I have no regrets on this being one of my first mods. Tundra paint is thin, as are most new auto paints these days.
Hope this helps anyone on the fence about adding paint protection. If you flip and trade trucks when the floor mats get dirty..maybe this is not for you, take a pass on the expense.
    Cheers,

I wish I would have done xpel on my truck when it was new. With my wide tire offset rocks tend to chip my paint on my rockers.

I really want to get this done as I plan to keep this one for a long time but I already have scratches. I guess this will prevent more scratches. I should also get the wife new 4runner done, its black and she keeps her cars a long time.

    Thanks for the update.

I just covered both my mine and my wife’s Trek 920 touring bicycles paint in the “stealth” or matte material. Pretty amazing paint protection/material.

@nowayout - try and get it done as soon as you buy the vehicle, or before you get any chips or dings or scratches.
Good installer(s) or at least the ones I know a won’t apply the material over damaged paint. It just enhances visual on the damage. FWIW...

How much did it cost? Did you do a entire body or just the front?
