I'm wanting to chase speed goats in Wyoming as a DIY hunt. Any suggestions from locals or people who may have done this hunt before? Any help is appreciated!

Funny - I literally just got done watching below video. Newberg is awesome & huge proponent of public lands. Check out his YouTube channel - he has several pronghorn vids. Some in Wyoming (like below one). Some videos say the area he's hunting in. I don't remember if below video said the specific area.

I know lots of folks that hunt antelope in the Pinedale Wyoming area. I do a lot of finishing in that area and see lots of them. Don’t know how difficult it is to get an out of state tag. Lots of public land. Several million acres. Lots of free camping opportunities

Have you got any points? In some units public land is hard to come by. The first week or so is very busy with hunters.

I like where your head is at! Newberg is a legend! I've seen some of his videos but not these ones, I'll check it out!
I'll see what opportunities are available in that area. I'm using GoHunt so I can look up odds and success rates pretty easily! Thanks!
0 points. I was thinking of just going in for points this year and try for next year. But I've also heard it's possible with 0 points, so I thought id see if anyone here has info. Thanks for the heads-up!!

I was going to mention GoHunt, but couldn't remember the name of it. I only remember Newberg having videos specifically on that site, and I was impressed. I have no reason to use it now (living in VA), but plan to when, God willing, I eventually move to Colorado.

So you think GoHunt is worth the subscription?

You can draw a tag depending on what type of tag you are after. There are some units you can draw with no points but the draw can be difficult. If you have private property to hunt you have a decent chance to draw as well. Reading the odds for draw is not the easiest sometimes. You can always try to draw a tag and if not successful will have a point for next year. If nothing else you can always buy a point for next year as well. Either way, you have until the end of May before you have to decide. Go onto the Wyoming fish and game website lots of good info there.

Definitely! Especially if you end up in CO. Alot of good hunting those states you would be neighboring! Also alot of good article and giveaways on that site when you become a member!
Great! Thanks for the tip! I'm constantly looking at odds and other forums on my lunch break. Hopefully by May I'll have something figured out haha!
