I lucked on to this site looking for info on top miles driven in a Toyota Tundra with the 5.7 engine. Just this last week my DW and I bought a 2007 double cab Tundra with 244,000+ miles on the odometer, it's been well taken care of with regular fluid changes and all it seems to need is new E brake shoes which the dealership is going to take care of even though it was bought "As Is". It's bone stock, the paint is in amazingly great condition and has a new set of Cooper 265-70-18 tires. I'm an old hotrodder from the 1960's and I'm amazed at the power it has, plus in looking at the underside, the thing is built like a tank. We live in S.W. Oregon, all kinds of logging roads and great 4 wheeling everywhere around. Deer, elk, bear and cougar, some of which show up on our property frequently. Grandparents on my dad's side came from Norway which goes along with my forum name, Viking. I am a young 76 years on this planet and this is our third Toyota, the others are a 1991 pickup, which I let my friends borrow, and a 2005 Sienna XLE Limited that has a premium JBL sound system. Yeah, I have become a Toyota addict and I'm totally alright with that. Pics soon to come.

Thanks for the welcome. Here's a bit more info, I grew up just outside of Bremerton, Washington and then lived in Seattle, hated Seattle and left to hitch up and down the length of California, the next place, Denver area, wasn't a whole lot better other than the time we spent living in Aspen Park at 8,100 feet elevation, moved down to White Deer, Texas and lived there running a Conoco station in Pampa until a gas war put us out of business and through a lot of research we ended up here in S.W. Oregon, this is paradise compared to anywhere else we've lived and it is a home state for me, I was born in Portland. I retired from the local school district in the custodial/maintenance department in 2002.

    Welcome from Georgia!

I was a hotrodder in the 70's, and the '07 5.7L RCSB that I purchased over a year ago is my modern hot rod. The truck had 270k when I purchased it, and I've been busy modifying it for use on smooth pavement ever since I picked it up.
