Wish my Tundra had!!!

I am like many that went from Tacomas to Tundras, One thing I really liked what my Tacoma had that my Tundra does not it when you turn the key off and open the door, the headlights go out.

I really liked that.

 

Mine does .It's a setting in the radio. Comes standard to leave the lights on for 30 seconds, but the adjustment options are in the radio .

 

One thing that I wish my tundra would do is... The dome light or map light should time out instead of set the alarm off every 20 minutes. It literally sounds the alarm because you left a map light on. So is it trying to help you save your battery by sounding the alarm infinitely every 20 minutes until your battery is dead? Why not just time out? This is the most counterproductive feature on the truck. I want to punch it. Everything else is perfect or enough for me.

Yes! But not the lack of reliability that goes along with it. At least it seems that way. I like to be different and would like to have a downstream turbo kit stashed under the truck.

 

Mine times out even if a door is left open, I know this thanks to my kids. Maybe there's a setting you can adjust?

 

Oh, and I wish the Tundra came with lockers or at LEAST as an option.

 

I’ll have to check the settings. I wonder if my BDX could do it.

 

Intergrated remote start, auto down/ up on both driver and passenger windows, and a flat floor under the back seat .

I miss the power outlet in the bed of my tacoma and the under/behind the seat storage.

I think my only gripe is the scout navigation. It’s pretty bad.

So, better nav from factory.

The Tundra finally stepped out of the Dark ages with LED headlights on the 18's but my 17' still has lights from the stone age.

 

Auto headlights, leather, sunroof.

If all goes well, my next truck will be loaded, lesson learned.

Power adjustable foot pedals and an auto down and up option for all windows. Other than that I wouldn’t trade her for anything!

 

My Camry and wife's Prius both have the auto door lock/unlock sensors in the door handles. Not sure what it is called. As long as you have key fob in you pocket you just grab the handle and pull to open; it unlocks by itself. To lock you just touch the outside of the handle after closing the door. If Toyota has the technology available, why not use it in the Tundra?

My 2018 sr5 does that. Has automatic lights. You can change the settings in the head unit

 

Yes, there are several settings. I prefer for mine to stay on since I park in the driveway and walk to the front door. When I lock the truck I hit the lock button twice to turn off the lights.

 

FOr me, auto up/down on all 5 windows, a mechanical LSD, and android integration so I could mirror my screen onto the display

 

I have mine set to either 30 seconds or a minute for the same reason

 

That, keyless fob and pushbutton start are the only things i sort of miss but can definitely live without

Haven't done one yet, but I'm going to miss the ease of the oil changes on my old Tacomas.

 

Just me but my 16 sr5 is miles ahead of the trucks i used to jave so im fine with it as is and will add what i want or need...to me its a truck...far from my old 85 i had lol
