    Need advice please!

I have had a repeated problem w/loss of throttle response in the last 2 years... I’ve taken it to dealer and they gave me different diagnosis each time (or they said they couldn’t find it).... the replaced “pedal assembly” and told me my husky liner was the cause (baloney).

Finally I got a call today saying they found a wire was frayed and that each time the6 tried to fix it it “crumbled” and now they want to charge me $3000 + to replace it...

When this problem started the truck remained under warrranty... so should I have to pay for this???

All service records are on file with the same dealership... and yes... whole harness... they said they tried to put new segments in and kept “crumbling”... now back to firewall..DEF contacting TOYOTA Corporate.

Sounds really fishy man. I assume they are saying teh wire insulation is crumbling. You may do better taking it to an independent mechanic, as they may be more inclined to actually fix it. Or atleast find a used harness if indeed an issue.
