Hi all. 06 limited here. I'm having issues with my wipers. After I start up my truck and put the wipers on they will work from anywhere from 5-10 minutes then stop completely. If I leave them on, occasionally they will work again but not for very long. Any help is much appreciated!

Might have a bad wire connection. Start looking under hood. Press in the connectors to make sure. Look around under hood with the wipers in ON postion and jiggle wires and see how the wipers react. Feel motor to see it its hot. Watch your fingers!

If your motor is bad, then buy the ‘Heavy Duty Cold Package’ Denso one. IIRC, they cost the same or less than the standard duty. Win win.

Great, Thanks everyone. Fingers crossed it's just a bad connection. In the middle of a blizzard here in Mass ;)

Update: Wipers are still stopping but I can get them going again by banging on the motor lol. I think I'll be buying a new motor

Mine were sticking and when I unhooked the motor, it was the wiper arms (It's called a transmission) one of them was really hard to turn and so it was overheating the motor. Something else to check.

I thought we installed a new motor and then the blades were not lining up properly? Did a see this somewhere else?

I did! I replaced the motor but now the blades aren't parking properly when I shut them off, they're stopping in the middle of the windshield

My wiper arms (transmission?) wore out. The plastic bushings disintegrated. They do not sell new bushings. Had to replace the whole arm arrangement. Factory part is like $200+. For some metal arms. Ridiculous. Ordered an aftermarket replacement. Bolted right up. Wipers rest to low and throw too far. But they don't get stuck and they don't stop in the middle of the windshield. Would recommend the factory replacement if possible.

    Lots of shenanigans.
Had something similar happen with my old dodge but I took the getto route and drilled a hole through both of the bushings and grabbed some spare nuts and bolts and never had issues again.
