Will 295/70R18 tires really fit (and what does fit mean?)

New member - first post. I have used search and found lots of info, much conflicting info. I have (just bought) a 2017 Tundra Crew Max. I have a 3” Toytec Boss lift - front and rear shocks, new SPC UCAs, rear add a leaf springs & shackles, diff drop kit sitting in the shop.

Have already removed mud flaps when I installed flares. I was thinking 295/70/18 Nitto Ridge Grapplers on XD impact 18x9 + 18mm offset wheels.

Toytec says this combo will fit fine - no rubbing after some minor trimming.

I see a range of comments in posts - bolted up and no rubbing, some rubbing, some cutting required, some used spacers....

Anyone have experience / insight on similar combo - particularly wheel offset and rubbing? Any and all info appreciated.

    Thanks much in advance,
    CP

Not sure about the fit with your wheels but with factory 18's no rub except full lock on skid plate which i trimmed and all is perfect. Running 295/70/18's on factory 18's with 2" RC leveling spacers

I'm running 295/70/18s on Vision Nemesis 18x9 +18mm. I'm on a 3/1 spacer lift with Freedom off road UCAs and only had to trim the plastic at the front of the wheel wells for clearance at full lock.

As you can see, looks a little weak with the stock tires.

I have the Toytec Boss kit, SPC UCA’s and Method NV 18x9 +25 offset with 295/70/18 Toyo AT2 extremes. I had to remove the front mud flap and have very slight rubbing on the front fender liner at full lock.

The boys at the tire shop said I could get away with 295’s on 18x9 wheels with +25mm of offset and expect minor trimming of skid plate and flaps. Already removed flaps. I’m ok with trimming the skid plate so am gonna give it a go.

will be a couple of weeks as I have a hunt in Montana coming up and don’t want to deal with the change right before trip. Will post pics. Thanks for the help and advice...

Just had 297/70’s installed yesterday. 3/1 level kit with factory UCA. Pulled front mudflaps and have slight rub on skid plate at full turn but had it with 286/70’s as well.

I only have minor minor rubbing at full lock, but some small trimming would easily fix the issue

Thanks much. I backed out of the XD Impacts and ordered SCS Ray 10s. Encouraged that your set up is very similar to mine and the 295s work.

I've been running 295/70/18s for a year. OME BP51s all around with Dakar heavy leafs with Coachbuilder +2 shackles. About 2.75-3" all around. RCI skidplate up front eleiminates any turn in rub. Also running an Expedition One front bumper which clears larger tires easily. Moving to 37s soon.
