    If anyone has an idea. She got in this morning and the push button start wouldn't work. Message said brake not recognized. (that is what she told me)

    Yep. I’d call Toyota Care and have them come tow it to the shop. Have her get the loaner and let them deal with it.

    You were right. Stupid parking brake switch. Somehow, it also ran the battery down. Put it on the charger, finally got the parking brake turned off and it cranked right up.

    Double check and see if she left one of the map lights on.

    Glad you got it going, but if it happens again, leave it like that and have the dealership send a tow truck. You don't want to be dealing with that while you're away from home.
