Can someone please tell me why does it matter the cab Style of my 04 Toyota when it comes to replacing the headlights I have a 04 Toyota Tundra Limited four-door and most aftermarket headlights do not fit four doors why they always say it's regular cab or extended cab the little doors and I want to know why

The double cab is different in so many minor ways that it should be considered its own separate model. There’s a ton of things (headlights are one) that differ between the two.

To specifically answer your question, the DC headlight housings are slightly larger in both height and width than their AC counterparts.

TYC and DEPO typically make solid stuff.

But if you're worried about fitment, just spend the extra on OEMs. I waited for a sale at the Toyota Parts site and, if memory isn't failing, after all the discounts, no tax, free ship I think I paid $325 for both, fully-loaded with new bulbs, seals, etc.

04 Double Cabs use different headlight assemblies than 05-06 Double Cabs and any of the AC/RC models. 04 Double Cabs share headlight assemblies with the 01-04 Sequoia.
