So who will pick up a new tundra as soon as they are released? Or will you run your current gen for a few years longer. For some reason my 2016 crewmax limited with 37k miles still makes me smile. First truck I’ve ever owned that I didn’t get sick of after a year or two. I plan on most likely running mine for much longer since it’s paid off and still like new condition however if it’s a sharp looking new release it prob will be tough walking the Toyota dealership!

I bought my ‘18 and haven’t looked back. I’d rather spend money on this truck than buy a new one. Can’t wait until it’s paid off!!

I hear ya, now that mine is paid off it’s time to put a little $ in it. I have new toyo AT3s on the way and plan on modding it just a bit.

I’ve only bought new once.. IF..450hp and 30mpg rumors are true I’ll be tempted! But most likely wait and get a used one for 5-10k less?

I'm planning to keep my 2020 for about 15 years but that would be contingent on it having enough payload for my needs once I have bigger kids and a travel trailer.

I've grown quite fond of my 2010 CrewMax SR5 that I bought last July with 215k miles on the clock. It has 217k miles now and still running strong. If I were to ever sell it, it would most likely be for a 3rd gen preowned. These trucks are crazy priced brand new.

Not me. 2019 trd pro has 10 k miles and it paid off.

next purchase is a 5 th gen 4 runner.

then a project car or truck... leaning towards Tundra actually.

I bought my 14' new and it only has 21k miles.

If I like the new style I am hoping to wait a year and then buy a new 23'.

Honestly, I likely will have this tundra til I die lol since I acquired my 84 c10 hotrod, the tundra splits time and mileage now and if its nice outside I take the c10. Plus I just got my wife a lexus nx which we take on longer trips due to the mpg. So its very possible the tundra meets its demise the same time I do lol

My 18 Platinum with 42k miles is paid off, so not really looking / wanting to spend the $25k to upgrade (sell current for $40k / new for probably $65k). But truck is coming up on needing new brakes / shocks and am wanting Pro shocks for mine, so looking at $5k installed there. Which then brings a 2022 down to $20k’ish.

So if the new 2022 is a game changer in terms of power / interior / ride / mpg / payload / towing / etc, and has somewhere around 50k miles less than my current truck (not that it matters, but still). That will be awfully tempting.

I won't. I have too much money sunk in my 2017. Plus now that I am retired I don't put a lot of miles on it. Not quite paid off but with zero interest i don't plan on paying off early. This will be the first vehicle I have not paid off early.

The only thing I'm dropping money on is a new head unit once the warranty runs out on my 2018 SR5. Keeping the truck until it dies.
