2nd time this happen to me in 6 months, started truck and some white smoke came out of tailpipe.
It also happen back in the summer while starting up.
Truck runs great, synthetic oil every 5,000 miles. Very well maintained since day 1.
    2009 5.7, 92,000 miles.

    LED headlamps/fogs; interior footlamps.
So this isn't the rather normal moisture built up overnight in exhaust vaporizing off in first few miles of driving/warmup? This happens all the time in humid areas like central texas.

Only 2 others things cause White smoke, headgasket leak or excess fuel being dumped in. If no missing coolant I doubt either of these 2 is happening.

Only happened 2 times. It's a noticeable white puff, and goes away within 1 second of starting

May just be th ed right combination of temperature and humidity. Probably what the Raptor owner I saw this morning hopes. He hit the throttle lightly at 65 mph and 2 distinct puffs of blue smoke came out.

Probably just some dipshit vaping by your truck. Seems they cant go 30 seconds without doing it everywhere.

If it's only happened twice in 6 months it's almost definitely water vapor in your exhaust system. Nothing to worry about. I've had it happen a couple of times as well. It happens during high humidity or after a short trip where the exhaust gases don't get hot enough to burn off the moisture.
