I know some of you guys had successfully programed keys and fobs with Techstream, but I'm having the toughest time trying to program my key fob (tried all the manual methods online/youtube). 2008 tundra limited with vip security. Can't find under which tab to program in Techstream. It only list 'Customize' 'Key registration' 'Immobilizer Code Reset' and 'Transponder Code Erasure' under immobilizer. As far as I know, these are for the keys, not the remote/fob. *also you can only have max of 2 master and 1 valet key? Thanks

**sorry new here, not sure how to delete this thread.

Immobilizer, utility, key registration to be able to start the truck. Be sure to get the right key, I believe you need a G with a dot (look at the key)

For the remote Main body, utility, register or erase if there are fobs you don't have in there.

Thank you guys, I was able to register the remotes under main body. I'm now having issues registering the keys. I have 1 aftermarket key (dot key) that was programmed at a toyota dealership. But when I try to add/register another key, it gives me a communication error. Those keys that's giving me an error will register with a DLC programmer but maxed out at 2. Been searching the web for solutions, but no answers. Running V15 on windows 10 64bit. Curious if anyone ran into this. Will try V13/V14 and see if it makes any difference. Just trying to get a working 3rd key for backup.

When I got that message it was the wrong chip.

I'm getting the EXACT same error message as @samsneeze2019....does anyone have a resolution??? I thought it was the Chinese Amazon chip key, so I went to Toyota dealership and had them cut the key(they provided a chipped key based on my VIN, so I know its the right key/chip) but they were 2 weeks out on programming it (really? 2 minute task for them)....and getting the same error message.
    Any advice? help??
