I can’t decide on which ones to get. I have two young children that are struggling getting in and out. There is currently a lot of chrome on my cement crew max limited. I am just not sure how long the chrome will be there. Does anyone have any suggestions or recommendations???

For kids? I liked the NFAB 6-step wheel to wheel bars.

I didn’t necessarily have a set max price, but I like to think the cheaper the better.

Perfect for kids...big, wide steps with no open spaces for them to get their feet stuck or to fall between. Westin Hdx Xtreme.

Go Rhino has nice, well priced stuff for your purpose. RB10 and RB20 get good reviews here. I like the D6. There's a rebate until the end of the month.

I've got AMP power running boards. They offer the lowest and furthest step out compared to a fixed step. However, they aren't cheap and don't work great in winter climates.

If you're only looking for a step look at Tyger Armor Side Steps. Love them, they don't break the bank, and they're built like a tank. I have to disagree on the nerf bars, I own them on two other vehicles and the round nature of the bar and the small foot step tend to be an easy way to eat S**t, especially when muddy or wet. Just my $.02

The Westin Traxx 4 were less than $200 on Amazon and took about an hour to install. They look great and have a solid feel to them. I did not want anything with abrupt edges sticking out.

Rhino rb20... very sturdy and stick out far enough to protect from car door dings....

I am a chrome fan, but for steps, I would not recommend chrome steps. If they get scratched or chipped, you cannot paint them like with other colors. You have to chemically dip them. Don't even bother with "chrome paint" stuff. They look wretched. Ask me how I know.

I like N-Fab, but I think that solid boards would be better if your children are too young.

Personally, I'm not a big fan of my Nfab's, they do look nice, but I was thinking of changing to the auto swing out type.

For young kids probably gonna want the wide foot boards, not great looking but.... My kids do fine with the toyota tube steps, they look good and dont hang down too far but far enough for them to step on.

I second this. My truck didn't come with one (purchased used) but was lucky enough to find a black OEM set. Ended up getting it for $120. Worth every single dime. I like that they are wide and look great in my opinion.
